The Pizza King — Restaurant in Lancaster

The pizza king used to be great value for money especially with deliveries however they have changed their minimum order to £18 making it harder for a couple of people to order so you end up having to havr extras butthen they still add on a surchatge for delivery... Sometimes we would oder twice a week but now the £18 minimum delivery means we will only order on the odd occasion in the future. We never experienced any problems with food quality however its a shame the pizza bases are bought in rather than made. last order we had was a different driver who was pretty useless really and forgot the main part of the order! Yhen questioned if it was our mistake..... Normally the young lad who used to deliver was brilliant in fact you knew when he was on his way as you could heat the Bass booming from his car speakers. I know costs are going up but with the minimum order requirement of £18 its too much of a price jump & like us i bet other regular customers will decide to go elsewhere or wont bother ordering as often. Maybe £15 minimum order which includes the £1.00 delivery charge rather than the new £18 minimum order PLUS the delivery charge on top would keep more of your regular...

Forest time we ordered from Pizza King took just short of 3hours for delivery. Given the day and the time of week I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt and order again . This time , we sent a pre order through just after 4.45pm on a Friday . Given that they advertise 5pm opening , we might have our food in a reasonable time . How wrong was I . Over an hour and half and still hadn't received our order . Very poor service . Given that recently moved to the area from Ulverston (where civilization needs to catch up) maybe Pizza King needs renaming to Patients of a Saint , because this is definitely what your going to need when you...

Unlike a lot of these reviews wingeing about late deliveries we called in after having a skinfull and got a couple of pizzas and a couple of kebabs. Fellas serving were very polite and accommodating. Pizzas were thin and crispy, as we like them, and kebabs were very good for the price. Not greasy or congealed, just well cooked, lightly spiced chicken and doner strips. To make matters better, chilli sauce actually had chilli flakes in it (ie not just tomatoes with a bit of chilli powder) and was pleasantly piquant! Cracking food after an afternoon on the sauce....
