Bao Bros has recently opened in Leeds city centre, located within Archie's at Granary Wharf. With two sections available, you won't be in close proximity to the bar.

The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Every dish is bursting with flavour! Drinks were non alcoholic and were amazing. • Kyoto Cluck-Cluck Bao - 10/10 • Tsunami Fish Fry Bao - 9/10 • Halloumi Umami Bao - 9/10 • Loaded Salt & Pepper - 10/10 • Katsu Curry Halloumi - 9/10 • Dutty Loaded - 10/10 • Lobster Bao Dog - 10/10 • Black Bean Kung Fu Bao Dog - 8/10 • Franks Hot Sauce Wings - 9/10 • Salt & Pepper Wings - 10/10 • Spicy Korean BBQ Wings - 9/10

The Lobster Bao dog was incredibly delicious; we've never had something like it. It was so tasteful. Our favourite has to be the Kyoto Cluck-Cluck Bao.

The chicken and brisket are halal, and although pork is also on the menu, the establishment uses three separate fryers to ensure the frying of pork is separate.

The best part is that you have a beautiful view! After your meal, you can take a walk along the picturesque waterside setting of...

We stopped by today after a four hour canal walk, and Archie's was just what we needed for late Sunday lunch.

The outside doesn't do it justice, the interior is quirky but not overdone, theres a really nice mix of styles and just an all round good atmosphere.

We sat in a window seat and someone came to take our drinks order in a few minutes. We needed at least ten more to choose from the menu; I was so so pleased to see so many gluten free options and closely labelled dietary dishes.

We evebtually settled on salads, burger, a gluten free pizza, nachos.

The food was amazing quality and very well priced. We did feel that the large salads, at double the price of regular, weren't good value/fair portion sizes. We passed that feedback to the staff who unexpectedly charged us for the regular size over the large.

I cant wait to go back here, I will be adding some different items to the next...

Pizzas were amazing, tables nicely spaced apart and there's an optional app that was easy to use for ordering. Our main issue was the service - the staff appeared visibly stressed (despite having plenty of time to chat to each other, including while pizzas sat waiting to be delivered to their tables) and we felt like we were an imposition by just being there. The younger male server bordered on being rude when he did deliver drinks and pizzas to our table. However, most concerning was that he repeatedly took off and put on his face shield, without sanitising his hands in between and then proceed to serve food and drinks. I appreciate that the face shields may be uncomfortable however none of his colleagues (or staff in other establishments wearing face masks) seemed to have this issue. I would not feel comfortable returning during the...

Had a brilliant experience at Archie's Bar and Kitchen in Leeds. The food was spot on, properly cooked, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Beer selection was great too, with some really decent pours on tap. But what really stood out was the staff. The chef and the barman were excellent, friendly, upbeat, and genuinely welcoming. That kind of energy makes a big difference. You don’t always expect that level of hospitality in a casual place, but they nailed it. It felt like they actually wanted you there, not just serving because they had to. Would absolutely go back. Great spot with even better people running it.
