It was busy & there were 2 staff serving as I approached the order point. Jade said "Do you want your usual americano" I said " I dont drink americaro, I drink latte". I order latte & toast. Damien disappeared as the manager appeared & she began making drinks, she was shouting down the customer line if drinks were takeaway, what milks etc. My drink & toast were placed on a tray but I couldn't get them from the counter due to drinks piling up everywhere. Eventually made it to the collection point, I asked the manager for knives, didn't hear her response (if there was one) so asked again. She snapped "shes getting them" & knives were duly dropped onto the tray. I asked for serviettes & she dumped them on the tray as well. I said to her "what has happened to the service in this store, it used to be so good" She didn't reply. I moaned to my sister who wonder why I'd been to long. Damien (who was clearing tables) came over to our table, bobbed down & began talking. I said I wasn't interested in anything he had to say as I was talking to my sister. He said "well I'm going to say to anyway" He said "I wouldn't tolerate staff being spoken to aggressively" I protested my innocence. He said I come in every week & always complain & if I complain again, I'd be refused service & told to leave. !!! I replied I have never complained, haven't complained today & don't come in every week & he must have mixed me up with someone else. He said "it is you cos because I recognised you" I said he was mistaken & to leave me alone. Of course I was upset & annoyed at being accused of something I hadn't done so wrote down some notes with the intention of complaining & took a foto of the toast (which was inedible) I could feel 3 pairs of eyes boring into me !!!! As we left, Damien came over & said "was everything ok" I look from him to the toast & said "what do you think !!" He smirked "have a good afternoon" The manager sarcastically shouted "bye" from the counter, I did not acknowledge her childish behaviour.
Now.... I never spoke aggressively to anyone, Damien WASN'T even behind the counter (he was by the door clearing tables) so he couldn't have heard what was said anyway. He came over because he heard me moaning to my sister. I've been in that store 7 times in the last 5 month, the last time being 25th Sept. Jade CLEARLY mixed me up with someone else she thought was me, who drinks americarnos & is possibly the complainer. And finally WHY would I continue to visit a store where I'm repeatedly getting poor customer service... I would simply find...
Read moreI had a better experience this time I had an Americano and Biscoff cheesecake! Me and my ex friends went in and the automatic doors did not open. Long ques nothing new from Costa tables full of used cups etc as usual. Two staff who were the only ones there were rude and stressed. My ex friend asked for the hot drink which she payed for then there was not enough hot water in my cup but their usually give you a teapot. Then she gave my ex friend attitude when she asked for her drink that she payed for saying something under her voice saying OK and something on the lines of I am making it now or gosh with attitude she's the Manager as I asked who's in charge. Then after a little while with no response I politely asked the Man is my ex friends toastie ready? To be told be patient then walked off and said their is only two of us, I said well that's not my fault he replied its not mine either so my ex friend said well get some more staff I said yes get some more staff. The man's hygiene was bad sweaty head he was touching his hair and touching the food without washing his hands. I noticed he put the toasties all touching each other meat and vegi onto the heating tray but your supposed to use separate ones for meat and vegi. The lady was very polite when her friends came in. Near the sugar etc area people had put trays there. No sugar theremy friend said no tissues in the toilet. The man was wondering off then went outside why not use the time to tidy up. I am disabled, (back condition) including suffering with anxiety my ex friend is disabled and suffering with anxiety and panic attacks is this how you treat us? I had to clear the table as their was no space for our tray it's not my job! Costa if it was not for us customers you would not have a business. Employ more staff who care about their work and happy...
Read moreCalled in for coffee as this was the nearest Costa coffee to the garage to which I had dropped my car off. So glad we did! From entering the door I noticed the cleanliness of this coffee establishment. It was 9am on Saturday so there were only a few tables taken at that point, we were able to get a nice table with sofa tucked away at the bottom of the coffee shop. The coffee shop filled up quickly in the hour that we were there, I would imagine this would be quite a busy ship at times, owing to its location on the retail park. There were two people serving, a lovely young lady with a warm welcome took our order straight away, followed by a very pleasant young man who made the drinks. The food we ordered was cooked perfectly, a breakfast toastie and seeded toast with marmalade, the sandwich grated thoroughly. We ordered Americano with milk, and a hot chocolate, the hot chocolate was nice and warm, I have noticed in some Costa coffee shops that this is not always the case. I would recommend this Costa because although a small shop, the seating was well thought out, and there was ample indoor seating. We recommend the...
