Subway — Restaurant in Leeds

They only managed to get one star from me and that was on the basis that I enjoyed the sandwich I had, the usual bmt double meat. However they lost 4 stars for the following reasons: -The serving staff member was rude and arrogant, I cannot fathom how someone can be like that in a customer facing role. She got so distracted by the end she had forgotten to put my sauce on. The guy on the till didn't know how much extra double meat was - I know that as a customer, there are also stickers in the shop that state the extra costs, so there's no excuse. -One of the last points and the point that really led me to leave this review was hygiene - not behind the counter as you would expect, I went to the toilet and after went to wash my hands, the soap dispenser didn't have soap in and didn't look like it had had soap in for a while, I think it's disgusting that they don't ensure there are adequate facilities to wash hands properly, especially when there is only one toilet in the place. in addition to the point above, I highlighted to both members of staff behind the counter that there was no soap in the toilet and therefore no way to wash hands, as I went and sat back at the table, I heard the rude lady state to the other member of staff that he didn't need to bother putting soap in the toilets. I proceeded to sit and eat with my son for around 15 minutes, there was still no soap in the toilets when we left. First time I've ever been to a Subway and I only went here because there's nowhere else to grab something on this retail park. It's also my last visit to Subway.

If my customer experience was anything like the norm for this chain I am utterly baffled how it was ever successful.

I never previously imagined I could not enjoy a baguette filled with chicken, bacon, peppers onion and barbecue sauce but couldn't even eat half of this even though I was starving and it was pathetically small. Bread was barely lukewarm, fillings were cold, and a mystery thin juice was dripping from it, and it looked like it had been sat on.

Two stars for service because once one of the two staff who were sitting with their feet up on the tables outside vaping and browsing their phones came inside to serve me she was perfectly pleasant.

I had an awful experience at this place. Staff were not helpful at all and were quite rude attending people. This obviously contributed to the feeling of a terrible decision made, as a result of choosing a place to eat. After serving all the customers cueing, both members of staff left and sat outside the store. Customers were confused by what we were witnessing as they were telling people who intent to walk in to be aware the place was closed for 15min as they were having their break, so people were turning away.
