Booked for the Tavassolis Bottomless Brunch @ £30 per head. So what exactly does your £30 get you? Well you get a choice of Gyros (Pork, Chicken, Halloumi or Falafel and as much booze as you can get down your neck in 90 mins. Sounds good yeah..??? Well I'll let you know it sounds much better than the reality. The Gyros you get served as part of the Bottomless Brunch is very sparsely furnished with meat (either chicken or pork) to the point you're virtually searching for it. £5 would have been over priced for what we received in the way of food but lets be honest, who goes to a Bottomless Bruch for the food? It's all about the booze and Tavassoli's have a much larger selection than most. I went for their OMG Farther and as they describe it "Lengthened twist on a classic Godfather Jack Daniels, Amaretto, Lime, Ginger Ale" - well I managed to get 8 of these in our 90 mins - 8 cocktails that retail on their menu at £10 each - That's £80 worth of booze and £5 of food - I'm well up on the deal... or so you might think. After drinking 8 x £10 cocktails I was just as sober as when I entered the place. Theoretically I'd drunk 16 shots but either my tolerance for alcohol had massively increased during that specific 90 minutes or there was next to no actual alcohol in my 8 x £10 cocktails. So... £5 for food and £25 for 8 non-alcoholic drinks... not as good value as it seems. Overall, very...
Read moreBooked for a table of 7 for bottomless brunch, only 6 able to attend. On arrival we were advised that we could only choose two cocktails from the menu to come out in jugs as they were too busy to make individual cocktails. The jugs tasted watered down & the waitress was reluctant to allow members of our party to have other drinks advertised such as beers & gin & tonic. Jugs could only be replenished when empty so we all had to agree on the cocktail choice rather than have our own. The replenishment was also slow.
The food was lovely but the atmosphere was poor, we sat upstairs & the service was impacted by this. The waitress was rude & unhelpful, and did not appear willing to allow us to access the other drink options despite being on the menu.
When paying, we paid a mix of cash & card, they didn’t bring our £10 change & they stated there was none to be given, however we were all aware of what we paid & what was owed.
Wouldn’t recommend for a group bottomless brunch. Avoid...
Read moreMyself and my friend attended yesterday Friday 25th June. We had the £30pp bottomless brunch. We arrived a little earlier but was greeted by lovely staff. We were seated and asked if we'd like to start our 90 minute slot a little earlier, obviously we did. The waitress promptly asked if we were ready for our first drink and they came quickly and continued to do so throughout our sitting. We ordered our food, again it arrived quickly, it was piping hot and extremely tasty. I ordered the chicken gyros and asked if I could have some Halloumi to which for £1 extra I could. Very disappointed in the size of my additional piece, it wasn't worth a pound. Limited choice of cocktails but none the less all were tasty. The cocktail I was least looking forward to trying was the Godfather, I'm glad I did as it turned out to be my favourite. I would highly recommend Tavassolis. The staff were welcoming and polite, the place was clean and we had a great...
