Not worth it!!
Firstly they’ve crammed far to many tables in which makes even getting into the restaurant difficult and we had to push past other diners to make our way in, first impressions count and we were left thinking we’d entered by the back door or something.
We were then met by a pleasant, but obviously over worked member of staff and shown to our table. The floor staff literally do everything, meet diners, take orders, bring food, make drinks, bring drinks, clean tables etc. The decor and table setting is really nice, rustic Mexican feel which gives you hope for some authentic food.
We then perused the menu, it’s quite difficult to understand because the layout is all over the place and was quickly asked for our drinks orders. We hadn’t even considered drinks at the point but felt a little rushed so my wife order a sangria and myself a bottle of beer. We then watched the sangria been poured out of a carton which was then quickly brought to the table where we were asked for our food order. We explained we wasn’t sure on the menu and instead of giving advice they just said we’ll give you a couple of minutes. Less than a minute later we were asked by somebody else for our order, again we said we wasn’t sure and this time a very simple explanation was given. We ordered nachos for starters and was assured it was enough to share. My wife decided on a special fajita dish for main which was explained would come with plenty of veg, sour cream and salsa and I had the combo special. Only minutes later a small dish of nachos arrived. Just chips, melted cheese and spring onion. This meant they were very dry and not really enjoyable so wasn’t too fussed about the small portion size. Our table was then cleared and we waited for our main. I asked for some more drinks and was told somebody would be with us soon. Around 10 minutes later I put my order in for drinks but had to ask for them again in another 10 minutes.
After around 30 minutes after our nachos our mains arrived. My wife was presented with a sizzling plate of onions and chicken with a few wraps. I was presented with a plate of 3 small mains covered in melted cheese and rice. I asked what the various bits were and was just told it’s the combo, we asked about my wife’s veg, salsa and sour cream and somebody went off and squeezed some sour cream source out of a pound shop bottle into a bowl and brought it over. We waited for the veg and salsa which never arrived. My wife said her fajita was ok but missing the veg and salsa. My dish was just overly salty, no flavour or heat could be tasted beyond the salt.
Not once during our visit were we asked if everything was ok, we never did receive our second round of drinks so I asked for the bill. When presented it seemed a little expensive and looking we’d be charged for 2 starters, the dish of sour cream and also the second round of drinks. This was quickly rectified and I paid in cash leaving more of a tip than the food deserved but it’s just obvious the staff are way over worked.
It’s a place that could be lovely but the food really does let it down, and the over worked staff need help because they obviously can’t do everything to a good standard.
Happy to give it another go if I see...

So we had an early evening meal here on Saturday 19th August 2023.
Shown to the table and browsed the menu and ordered Guacamole , Nacho con salsa, Onion rings, Pork belly and Jalapeño queso from the tapas menu, and a vegetable fajita from the mains.
Service was nice, with an attentive server.
Meals all arrived after a little wait and initially I was looking forward to the food, which was nicely presented.
Upon eating I was becoming disappointed with the food quality.
The onion rings were not hand cut and were very likely to be frozen and just cooked in a frier. Same goes for the jalapeño queso (stuffed jalapeños) which I am also sure were also frozen.
Guacamole was okay, but had a lot better, and the pork belly was supposed to be cubes, but was flat sliced pork with some sauce on top, and I was slightly disappointed with it.
Nachos were ok, but had a lot better elsewhere.
Fajitas were average, little bland, and we had to order more wraps as there was not enough. This was not an issue though.
When I got the check, I spoke to the server about the onion rings and my disappointment with them and he was slighly embarrassed and said ‘I am sorry, kitchen is very busy’ (to do ‘hand cut’ ones) or something like that.
Such a shame if the kitchen is too busy to cook nice fresh food.
If you want good, fresh food (and tapas) then Ole Ole is the...
Read moreIf you go to this restaurant make sure you check your receipt when you pay. My friend and I went there on 4 th Dec. We had 3 drinks. 2 tonics and a coke. It wasn’t till I had already paid by card that my friend noticed the receipt said £70. Went downstairs for them to rectify it ,which they did but because I was in a bit of a tizz and because of it ,I left my purse on the counter. Didn’t realise until I was on the coach going back to hotel. I rang them straight away and asked for the manager. He wasn’t there so was told to ring back on Monday. They are closed on Mondays. After about 6 phone calls to them during the week I was told the manager would not send my purse to me in Hull as he didn’t want the responsibility. So the following Friday I had to get someone to drive me all the way to Lincoln from hull to collect it.when I got there the young lady who had actually sorted my refund out ,so knew it was me ,insisted on seeing my passport and even that was not good enough. She wanted to see my driving license which was already in said purse. I would not recommend any one to go to this restaurant. One disgruntled...
