While visiting Liverpool, my wife and I arrived absolutely starving and stumbled upon Key Lime Coffee—and we were not disappointed. This cozy spot turned out to be one of the best food experiences we had during our trip. I went for the Key Lime Eggs Scrambler, and my wife ordered the New York Steak and Eggs. Both dishes were flavorful, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The eggs were fluffy and rich, while the steak was tender and juicy, cooked just right. To accompany our meal, we had an American coffee and a cappuccino—both were excellent. The coffee was bold without being bitter, and the cappuccino had a great balance of espresso and foam. As coffee lovers, we really appreciated the quality.
What stood out the most was not only the taste of the food but also the care that clearly went into everything served. It’s not easy to find places in Liverpool that combine a welcoming vibe with such high-quality breakfast and brunch options, but Key Lime Coffee nails it.
If you're into hearty, delicious food and want a solid coffee to go with it, this is the place to go. We'll definitely be back next time we’re in town. Highly...
Read moreSearched and found this place whilst on the train to liverpool, it had good reviews for breakfast which is what we wanted as soon as we arrived from the train station. The service wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst, we weren't greeted or told how to order, we just picked up our own menus and seated ourselves, ordered at the counter and had to get my own sugar and condiments. I ordered an American breakfast and an Americano coffee, my partner ordered the full English breakfast and a coke. The food was perfection! Wish I had taken a photo, really nicely cooked. The prices were more expensive than what it said on the website (unless the website only showed takeaway prices?) so I think the website needs updating but £7.50 each for the size and quality of breakfast we got is really not too bad at all. But the coffee...sorry no! I drank it only because I needed it but I didn't enjoy it, it was not a nice coffee. I'd go there for breakfast again and recommend the food to anyone, I just wouldn't...
Read moreI'd wanted to eat here for a few years, ever since I saw the menu posted one night but they were closed. They boasted 'American' style foods, and I ordered my beloved Eggs Benedict. But it wasn't Eggs Benedict.
The hollandaise sauce was too lemony and really off-tasting, and they used British bacon when it's meant to be "Canadian bacon", which the substitute for is gammon or even deli-style ham lunch meat slices. The poached eggs were just okay. I couldn't even eat it and I was hungry. So I ordered the Reuben sandwich, it wasn't a true Reuben but was still very tasty, and the bread was good.
Perhaps their other offerings are decent, but if you're not going to even make an effort, don't call it Eggs Benedict. It's like a roast dinner with chips & ketchup instead of roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds & gravy.
It's in a convenient spot so if I was near it and was hungry, I'd give...
