Bramleys Cafe — Restaurant in Liverpool

First time visiting here and I wouldn't go back. Me and my sister went here today and both ordered a Cumberland breakfast (it arrived pretty fast... possible too quick)

This is the only thing we've both had today and not long after finishing the breakfasts we've both had really bad stomach cramps but I'm worse off, not only do I have bad stomach cramps and I also have diarrhoea. So the breakfast must of not been fresh. The sausages were either out dated or left out for long period of time or they have been cooked some time ago and then warmed up. The only other meat was bacon so that may of been the same.

It also wasn't that clean and could do with a deep scrub.

I have been eating here for many years, however recently there has been a dramatic change. The menu has been hacked to pieces, all of the favourites are gone and the choice of food is shocking. I was there Saturday 20 Sept 2025 and the cafe was fairly empty, order taken, but the wait for food was 25 minutes, only expedited by a prompt that we hadn't received our food. I can only assume that either the original chef had left and a temp is in charge or there are money problems. Veggie breakfast was not great. Plum tomatoes and hash brown were nice. Veggie sausages were gross. Egg didn’t look appetising whatsoever. The breakfast was basically freezing. It’s probably the worst breakfast I’ve had in a very long time. Toast was nothing special. I also asked how long it’d be to cook as I had work and the waitress said 5 minutes most definitely but it was actually 15 or more.
