Wow, what a disappointment, went there for dinner yesterday, the pub was quiet, my boyfriend ordered a mixed grill, I wanted lasagne but there wasn't any so I ordered picky bits (onion rings, chicken wings, sausage bites in sesame seeds, cheesey/bacon chips and cheese/garlic bread) I was given the chips, sausage, and a portion of nachos - which I didn't order as I do not like them) my boyfriend took the nachos back. By the time the rest of the food came out I had eaten them - picking with my fingers because I had not been given cutlery. Along with the second delivery of my order was another portion of chips and another portion of sausage which we sent back, my boyfriend was given a steak knife with his mixed grill, he asked the server if we could please have cutlery, the server said he would be right back with them but he never returned, after waiting for several minutes my boyfriend got up and went to get some. Eventually we settled down for him to eat his meal and me with the other half of mine. To be fair mine was ok (just what you would expect from pub food) but his sausage was dried out and rock hard and the gammon was way too salty. After eating as much of the food that was edible we left, we didn't even finish our drinks. Not a single server came over to check if everything was ok. Totally unprofessional. My recommendation for Yates is give it a miss - if you can't find anywhere else to dine, go to the chip shop on your way home!!! I've rated 1 star simply because unfortunately there isn't a lower...

Went to the bar to order food and drinks. Waitess had the personality of a mud fence. Seemed like she had better things to do. My wife and I were going to order the 3 appy deal. Asked for wings, was grumpily told they were out. Asked for onion rings, same thing. Finally found 3 things they had. Ordered a coke for my wife, the drink I asked for they were out. If I had been told with some care and apology at any point, it would have made all the difference. I then asked if she had a drink menu so I could see what I wanted. I was informed they were at all the tables, again, with an attitude. I asked what flavors there were of j20, and was informed they were fruit juices. Ok, what are the flavors? I'm from Canada, and am not familiar with this drink. She then rattled them off, fast, and with the soccer game blaring in the background, I couldn't hear, so asked again. Same thing, rapid fire. Around here I got a little torqued and said that I don't know what she's saying, I'm asking for info, and I can't hear, to which she replied that I didn't need to talk to her like that. If the coke hadn't been poured, we'd have walked out. Should have, because the food was nothing to make me ever go back again. And little miss attitude is sure no champion for the cause either. We've been traveling through the uk and Ireland for a month, and haven't experienced this before...

First off if I could give no stars I would me and my son were out for dinner tonight after the match around 6.45 and as you can imagine everywhere was busy including Yates we walked around looking for a table with no joy we did see a table that had a reserved sign for 6.30 but seeing as it was nearly 7 o clock now, i asked a member of staff could we sit there and he said yes. I went to the bat to order drinks and food when I finally got served the barman asked were we were sitting I told him where and he said its reserved sorry you can't sit there even tough it was now after 7 I and still no one had showed up. I went over to my son and said we have to leave but before I did I asked for the manager and it turned out it was the guy who served me he said could I wait 2 mins to talk which I did but all I ended up.waiting for was a half hearted apology I explained I was in customer service also and that I couldn't believe he was the manager he didn't try solve the situation or try find a table he just really didn't care. Will never come here again I'm guessing the food and the drink are nice but customer service is appalling and that is solely aimed at...

Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price For Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall the price was pretty good and standard for a pub. I had no really issues paying it and no additional costs for certain sides was fantastic! Speed of Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ On this particular visit, the time between placing my order and receiving my meal was a little slow. However one thing Scouses know is how to serve drinks quick to fill the gap! Food Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall quality of food was very satisfactory. Good flavour combinations and plenty of variety! Very thoroughly enjoyed and the food was extremely hot when it arrived. I’m okay with waiting longer knowing my food is cooked fresh! Steak was cooked perfectly to my preference too! Restaraunt Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ No major issues here. The pub was clean, amazingly decorated and the ambiance was perfect! AOB- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The atmosphere was electric! Being a Liverpool FC fan and being in a ‘Red pub’ was amazing. Everyone is so friendly and want to chat with everyone and crack banter which adds to the experience!

Always had a good experience here. Plenty of drinks to choose from. Especially on draft. Had food once and it was your typical pub food. Prices are alright and they have offers on certain days. There's plenty of places to sit including a nice little area outside that gets the sun in the evening. There is more seating upstairs along with pool tables. Only issue I've had is only 1 bar staff when it was busy. Waited around 10mins to be served. Which isn't ideal, especially when people end up pushing in. This place is wheelchair and kid friendly. However when I was there last, the disabled toilet door/lock was broken and there is only one disabled toilet downstairs. The toilet are up stairs.
