I am known for giving honest ratings and views to places I have been to and yesterday i attended the Greek Taverna with 5 other adults as 2 of my neighbours/friends got married in the morning. We got to the Greek Taverna at 12pm when it opened and were welcomed in and shown to our table. First impressions on walking in where very good. Greek music playing and a lovely place on first impression. Service was absolutely spot on. Starters came and we all looked at each other and commented on how lovely they all looked and the sizes of the portions all looked good. The starters all tasted amazing and by now we couldn't wait for our main courses. The main courses arrived and WOW, the plates were full. The meals all looked so colourful and smelt gorgeous. I have never had Greek food before but got to taste things I never would have eaten. Out of the 6 of us, only one managed to eat everything. We were absolutely stuffed and all talking about how amazing the food was and how filling it was. We had Merlot with our meals and it was served as it should be. The bottle was brought to the table and shown to us, opened at the table and we were asked if we would like to taste it first. I tasted the first bottle and it was beautiful, the waitress then continued to pour each glass and she poured the bottle while it constantly being held in the correct position. This is the first restaurant I have been to where the bottle was held and served correctly. The restaurant was full by 1pm and the atmosphere in the place was lovely. I personally cannot fault the food or the service. My only down side would be to say that the toilets are downstairs so not really good for a wheelchair user. That is the only thing I can find a fault with and I feel awful for putting that as a fault. Would I attend here again? DEFINITELY A YES. Would i recommend it to family and friends? DEFINITELY A YES. This place is absolutely AMAZING! Manager found out our friends had just been married a few hours previously and brought out a beautiful afters for them with a sparkler in the top, turned the music up and the lights down and got them up to have their first dance as a married couple. Even the manager and a waitress danced together as well so our friends didn't feel uncomfortable. SO SO KIND OF THEM. THEY MADE THE MEAL END ON EVEN MORE OF A HIGH. THANK YOU SO MUCH. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK...

I had an extremely upsetting experience at this restaurant today. I walked in after coming straight from Anfield Road, wearing my Liverpool shirt and scarf, feeling very hungry and just needing to use the toilet before sitting down to eat.
I politely asked the lady at the bar if I could use the restroom first before taking a table, and she kindly welcomed me. I even said thank you. However, to my absolute shock, two men suddenly approached me before I reach toilet and asked me to leave the restaurant — one of them claiming to be the “big manager.” I asked what the issue was, and he said it was because of my “behaviour,” even though all I did was ask to use the toilet before ordering.
I explained that I had every intention of staying to eat, but they insisted I leave. I can’t help but feel this was based on how I looked — perhaps because I was wearing Liverpool gear and coming from a match, they assumed I wasn’t worth serving. It felt like pure discrimination and completely unfair.
I’ve never been treated with such disrespect in any restaurant. It left me feeling humiliated and deeply upset. If I were the owner, I would seriously reconsider the way staff are trained to treat paying customers — or better yet, replace the staff entirely.
Unacceptable and disgraceful service. I will...
Read moreDecided to eat here on New Years Day evening we booked a table for 7pm. On arrival the place was heaving and very busy but our table was there waiting for us. The waiting staff are young but friendly some more experienced than others but very helpful. We all chose just to have mains me having the Mixed Kebab and Ange having the stuffed vine leaves. As the want these days the standard question is any allegies and they were told cucumber as eating it gives my wife crippling tummy. The food came nicely presented and smelt great the young waiter presented my wifes to her and said vine leaves no cucumber and went to get the others. On his return we said was it right the vine leaves with no cucumber he said yes thats what we had ordered so why was there a cucumber bed that the sauce was sat on. He was mortified offered to take away and change her dish. We laughed and said no she just removed the cucumber. All food was large portions very tasty and good value. Recommend Yes and will we...
