The Flute — Restaurant in Liverpool

Poor quality food. Bad beer. Really bad and slow service. We were ~18 people in two tables. The place was very big and empty besides us (which means they can in principle afford MANY more people). First, the beer was warm, with a lot of foam (we guess the crate was almost empty). We waited 1-2 hours for the food to arrive and we could not eat together because between one dish and the next one there were always 10 minutes waiting. At one point a waiter came with two chicken burgers but nobody had ordered them. He insisted that we had ordered them so one of my friend decided to take just because he was super hungry. For the second chicken burger, the waiter asked a guy what he had ordered, he replied "cheese burger" and the waiter insisted he did say "chicken" burger. He did not want it but eventually he had to take it. This was very rude from the waiter. Just the physical place is nice. Everything else not good. In general not...

Not very happy with the service. I ordered two lots of the 3 meals for £10 dishes. The waiter brought out 5 of the dishes and told me the 6th dish was delayed. Didn't bring any cutlery or plates for us to eat with so we were left picking bits and bobs from the serving plates with our fingers. I had to go and ask where the 6th dish was as we had nearly finished our meal and mentioned that we didn't have cutlery either. To be fair the manager did tell the waiter off and offered more free drinks. It kind of ruined our meal and to top it off one of the waitresses was trying to clear our plates away that still had food on even though we were waiting for the final dish thinking that we were finished. I've given a 2 star because the food was ok but service...

Arrived around 6.15pm and ordered some meals as we were going on later to the Philharmonic Hall for 7.30pm. Explained our situation and was promised we'd have our food in 20 minutes. Great! So the food arrived - chicken burger and chips (perfectly fine), a 3 bean burger and chips (absolutely disgusting in taste and texture - was it meant to be raw in the middle??) and scampi and chips (but only received a plate of scampi). Asked where the chips were - "oh that'll be another 10/15 minutes"...so my partner then had to wolf them down as we were in danger of missing the start of the concert. The price of the food for what we got was extortionate. Didn't even get a bit of salad on the side!...
