Manhattan Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Liverpool

Absolutely awful service from I found out later the owners son. There where 30 of us I don't think they are used to being busy ,I wonder why. We ordered in advance but one of the soups had not been ordered this was mine . I was pubically humiliated for this and the list thrust in my face and told that this was our list our mistake . He want on to embarrass me in the other booth so I said it's ok I won't have any . He then insisted that I had some, he came across as not stable to me . The gentleman sat at the side of me told him he was disgusted at his attitude and lack off respect ,this was when he literally threw the list in his face . The gent left and we followed shortly after . I asked to see the manager and I explained what had happened . I felt sorry for him as he did his best to reassure us that we will get what we have ordered and we will have an enjoyable afternoon but the damage was already done . It's a pity really that it is out off his hands that one bad apple is going to destroy...

Brilliant. Food was hot, delicious and large portions. Good range of food and drinks. Staff were great, very friendly and attentative. Wish I'd asked the two ladies names who were working when we were there (Monday 29th August around 8:30ish). The both of them were amazing, really nice, they chatted with us including our 9 year old daughter and made her mocktales. These two are a credit to this business ( to the owner/ management you should be very proud of your staff) and are a shining example of hospitality staff at there best. I work with the public myself and you can become worn down sometimes by the fast pace and sometimes rude and nasty people you have to deal with. Prices very competitive, especially considering how big the meals were. Good selection of music playing. I've visited this business a few times over the years and the service has never been poor. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to people and will definately be back. My daughter said definately...

I booked for a birthday celebration on the recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately, when we arrived it was so loud that we couldn’t hear ourselves speak. The rooms are small and the ceilings low, so noise doesn’t travel. The friendly waiter showed us to our table and it was so narrow that we had a job fitting the 6 of us in. We ordered drinks and they arrived very quickly, so the service can only be classed as good. Two minutes later a party took the table next to ours and maybe a meter away, and what was already a loud environment became deafening. Although those sat at the other table were perhaps half a meter away from each other, their conversation was so loud and inappropriate, we couldn’t continue with ours. This became annoying, so much so, that we decided to leave and find somewhere else to eat.

I will say that the food given to other guests looked good and it’s a shame we missed it but this is not the place to go if you want a quiet meal...
