Liverpool Gin Distillery — Local services in Liverpool

My friend who is a massive gin fan was up from Surrey and wanted to go here. Temperature taken on entry, prompted to hand gel. Guided to track and trace list in a really friendly hospitable way. How sad is it when the first bit of a review is around covid safety measures.....moving on to more important matters - staff so very friendly and welcoming. Also very knowledgeable about their products and can discuss at length. My friend wanted a photo of herself in front of the distillery bit and the distiller working the equipment was more than happy to pose next to her behind his screen 😃. After his shift my lovely friend copped him and asked him loads of questions. I was like the poor guy just wants to clock off, but he was so happy to humour her and didn't seem to mind chatting to customers.

The gins and tonics and garnishes here are really beautiful, some super tasty gins can be had here. But BEWARE!! They lure you in with "2 for £10 G&Ts" but then they push you into ordering doubles but this obviously isn't included in their offer. I was absolutely appalled when the drinks were made and I was charged £23 for 2 large G&Ts. £23?! That's worse than London prices. I questioned how can it be so expensive when on their menu it says £6.50 for a G&T and I was told that's only the price for a single measure, and the price for a double isn't actually listed.

To me this is deliberately misleading and is a ploy to get you to spend an extortionate amount when you were expecting to pay a special offer price.

As feedback: you should list the price of a double gin and not hide it. And your staff should check with the customer whether they know the drink they've ordered falls under the 2 for £10 offer or not. I felt so misled...

A group of 20 of us went for the gin experience to make our own flavoured gins. It started off really well, however, it went down-hill straight after we sat down. The guides were really good but there wasn’t enough room for all of us to do it so half the group were standing around for at least an hour waiting doing nothing. Secondly we were bought out nibbles which were very tasty but were only given to half the group, the other half assumed they were getting some later but it never came. Thirdly, after waiting for what felt like hours for the guides to label our bottles, some of the labels weren’t even spelt correctly! Such a disappointing event and it really slowed down a nice hen do.
