sorry to have to write this. A small group of us attended last night. great atmosphere and were having a great time. UNTIL, I went to the bar to get us another round of drinks, after standing there for 10 mins whilst a boy bounced back and forth from the back room room in some cringe worthy attempt to impress the other girls behind the bar (they looked uncomfortable), he decided it fit to do some work and take my order. asked for my drinks and then he took it upon himself to ask "what else", I repeated my order (NO NO NO) he then asked me "you have to say please" I laughed, all good humour. he was deadly serious and moved to serve the next person. I am all for manners but if I am treated badly from the off then what I can only describe as a child with some sort of power problem spoiling my night. No thank you. I am not quite sure the Shrek look alike quite understands how the hospitality industry works, but my hard earned money passing over the bar is how he gets paid. Anyway, long and short, this one child has now lost the owners custom. Bee in my bonnet and all my networking groups will be told of this appalling behaviour by a child whom they pay money too. My main area of concern is there are people who would kill for that job and this child thinks its ok to spoil a business. I truly hope the owners read this and...

Shortly after arriving at James Street. We went in search of breakfast. We turned left and then saw on a street to our left two big signs advertising breakfast. Now there are two places here but the wife noticed you get 2 sausage and bacon at the slaughter house and not at the other place. So being hungry we ventured in. At 10:30 there were a few big tables and music was at a nice level... Sky sports news on the telly (always a winner in my book) I went for the 7.50 breakfast and the wife had the smaller 5.50 breakfast both included tea/coffee and toast. Don't forget we are right in the centre so we were more than happy with the price.

Bar service was good and all the tram were friendly.

Food arrived hot and was excellent

Not the best sausages but for the price it's a given that you won't get top quality ingredients... having said that I must stress it was tasty and very nice.

We...

Called in last night on recommendation and we weren’t disappointed. Good singer on Saturday night had everyone entertained, polite bar staff. So decided to go back following day for lunch where we seen a sign, all Homecooked food. Dining as 4 people we ordered 2 full English breakfasts, 1 cheeseburger & 1 homemade steak pie. We waited 20 mins or so for food, but I firstly decided to order the Sunday lunch at 12 o o’clock only to be told the Sunday lunches weren’t being served until 12.30 onwards (I think the chef forgot to cook the meat) the food arrived all very hot and good sized portions. The steak pie was beautiful and tender along with skin on fries. Rest of the food very good was told. Would definitely recommend this pub, very reasonably priced....

Walked past on fathers day, heard the Irish music, went in side . Place was packed great 3 piece band on , think the singer was Alan Connel , 1 lady on the fiddle another on bass. Brilliant music, mix of Irish, bluegrass, country and everything in between even George Formby. Place was bouncing , 2 and half hours of nonstop excellent music , would have stayed for the next act but had to get the train, beer was good too, very friendly atmosphere, will definitely be back.

Went for a 60th birthday weekend with another 8 family members. We had an absolute ball. Chris the MC was amazing, and the 3 comedians were also very funny. Well worth the admission fee. If I go back to Liverpool, I would certainly go here again
