Came here between Christmas and New Year and had a wonderful time! The staff were really friendly, attentive, and made us feel extremely welcome throughout our meal. There was a bit of joking and laughs, too, which really added to the experience. The food was all fantastic. I went for the Burrata to start, which was absolutely delicious! I had to slow myself a couple of times to make sure I savoured it! My partner went for the tartare di salmone, which she adored! So full of flavour! For main I went for the Capricciosa pizza, which was very nice, the dough was the best bit, really moreish! My partner went for the Filetto Al Pepe and said the steak was cooked beautifully, really tender and so full of flavour. She also said the fries were tasty, crispy with fluffy centres. We also has a side of Zucchine Fritte, which were lovely, crispy on the outside, and cooked nicely in the middle. They have a good selection of beers, wines, and spirits, as well as soft drinks, so something for everyone! The dishes are pricier than other restaurants, but we felt the service and food quality were definitely worth the price. Highly recommend coming here for a great meal!

I had a terrible experience and I genuinely wish I could give this restaurant less than zero stars. The high prices certainly didn't match the abysmal service. The entire restaurant was in chaos, with my pasta taking a whopping 40 minutes to arrive. The staff seemed completely disorganized, running around without a plan, clueless, and disorganized. To make matters worse, there was zero communication with customers. I struck up a conversation with the people at the next table, and they shared my frustration. They had come to dine based on recommendations but ended up waiting much longer than other tables. It was a frustrating experience, to say the least. Even a simple glass of wine took over 15 minutes to arrive. I mean, how long should it take to pour a glass of wine? It was simply unbelievable. The food, when it finally arrived, was just okay, but I discovered sand in my spaghetti Alla Vongole. Next dish was Terribke too. I had spent 2 To top it off, there was no manager on shift to address the issue, and the staff showed no remorse for the terrible experience. I'd rather go to San Marco, and I certainly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Came here last night for a date night. Travelled all the way from near Preston and what a truly beautiful restaurant. More expensive than your average Italian restaurant, cost us £100 for one starter , lasagne and a fillet steak with sides, however it is definitely worth the extra money because the taste and quality of the food was amazing. The BEST bruschetta I have ever had, I added mozzarella which only cost £1 extra . The garlic on it made it super tasty and you could tell it was all fresh ingredients. I had the lasagne which was delicious, fresh and perfectly crispy on the top . My partner has the fillet steak which was cooked perfectly and melted in the mouth, with an added side of broccoli which was also tasty with the garlic and chilli. Only thing I would say, is the peppercorn sauce could have done with being a bigger portion as was like a shot sized pot . Otherwise everything from the food, service to the atmosphere was perfect. Would love to visit again. Only managed to photo the bruschetta because was too eager to eat and enjoy the food . Thank you.

My hubby & I have just arrived home after having a wonderful evening at our long time favourite restaurant Piccolino Liverpool this evening.

We were lucky enough to have won ‘Chateaubriand for Two’ in a competition run by Piccolinos in early August & were absolutely overjoyed as it has been our favourite restaurant for over 18 years having spent many joyous occasions there from our first official date, a return from honeymoon meal & many birthdays & anniversaries over the years for both ourselves & family.

The food had always been exceptional & although a chain restaurant it has the ambiance of a small family owned establishment. The lighting of an evening is subtle, enhancing the atmosphere making it a pleasant way to share an intimate evening with a loved one.

We shared a lovely bottle of Red wine along with water for the table.

For starters Steve Flanagan had Capesante (Isle of Mann Scallops, spicy Calabrian sausage & tenderstem broccoli) & I opted for a classic Cocktail di Gamberi Rossi (prawn cocktail). Both were very tasty!

For mains we shared the delectable Chateaubriand (for two) served with roast tomatoes & mushrooms.

Sides - Broccoletti - tenderstem broccoli, chilli & garlic. Insalata Della Casa - Gem lettuce, radicchio, tomato & rocket. Both fresh & delicious!

As the sauce accompaniments were on the small side it was recommended that we get four in total. The hubby opting for Peppercorn sauce & myself the Porcini Mushroom sauce. Both were extremely tasty.

We had no room for desserts I’m afraid!

Our waiter Vassilios was very helpful in our selections & in his patience as I was indecisive about which wine I preferred!

Hand sanitiser was on the individual tables & the tables were sufficiently spaced to adhere to social distancing measures

Overall an absolute wonderful evening post celebration (once again) of our Anniversary & my...

We have just been to Piccolino in York and it was fantastic....food, atmosphere and service.

So we decided to go in Liverpool as well. Bad decision!

Fair enough it was 9.45 pm and they were closing at 10.30pm, but we knew exactly what we were having to eat( straight to main course) and within 5 minutes wine and food order was taken by our waiter Manolo.

Whilst eating, the place got a bit empty and the staff started to prepare the setup for the next day. It wouldn't bother us normally, but the side plates and cutlery were dropped on the tables at such speed that the noise made us feel unwelcome and like being in a canteen at rush hour. My husband asked the lady (supervisor?) if they could not make so much noise as we are still having our dinner and she did spoke with the others and the noise level went down considerably. After we paid the bill and on the way out, my husband decided to give feedback to the manager on duty and he approached the same lady which was doing end of night reports at a nearby table(this is the same lady that sat us down at the beginning of the night and introduce us to our waiter Manolo). As my husband started talking she said she is NOT MANAGEMENT and redirected my husband to the same guy that was our waiter earlier.....Manolo!!! Was it just a misunderstanding on her part or deflecting...

Came here on Sunday for Sunday lunch. as restaurant bar and grill had contacted to say there was a plumbing problem and offered here as a choice. We agreed as eaten at piccolino chester o lots of occasions. Ordered drinks told by waiter there were no cold bottles of diet coke . Ordered Sunday lunch waiter told us about rewards app were already members but didn't have app. He told us about the sharing platter which was a good deal with app so downloaded. Waited ages for th for to arrive we were so hungry. When it came it looked lovely but was luke warm I carried on eating because I was so hungry. The waiter came to as if everything OK told him it was all luke warm edible but nothing worse than like warm food. We were asked if we wanted the bill they gave us £5 off as a gesture because of our complaint. We explained its not about the money we just expect a hot meal. , we left as didn't wat to make a fuss as it was our wedding anniversary. After coming home and looking at the menu we had paid for the sharing platter which we ordered yes... but there was a sharing dessert included in the price we weren't even offered it...... Service was terrible we did see a few people complaining about cold food... Total...
