An amazing taste experience from start to finish. Solo dining with a table to myself for 2pm (mid-week). Although I’ve lived in Liverpool for the last ten years, I had never visited the Shiraz BBQ. Until now. I had no idea what the quality of the food would be like, what the restaurant would be like etc. But from the moment I arrived until I left, they couldn’t do enough. I was served by Lisa (someone who was very pleasant, professional and knowledgable.) I told her that it was my first time there and that with advice from a friend who is Turkish, I was given a list of foods to try for my first authentic meal. It did not disappoint. I ordered garlic bread and I’d asked to try some hummus (never having it before), she soon came back a small side plate of bread and a small ramekin full of hummus to try. It was delicious. My garlic bread soon arrived. It was the size of a dinner plate, it was golden and beautifully cooked. The smell from it was amazing. I’d also asked for a drink called Aryan. It has Turkish origins and consists of yoghurt, sparkling water and salt. It is certainly a drink to try and it works so well when drunk with your kebab. I decided on the koobideh kebab (Adana). Great choice (see photos). A full dinner plate included two skewers of the koobideh, including chips, rice and salad and a ramekin of tomato based sauce with sweet chilli. Absolutely delicious and very filling. Don’t worry if you can’t eat it all as they will bag the rest up for you to take home. I finally ordered baklava for my dessert. I decided to take that home with me as I was so full from the kebab. The whole experience was amazing and well worth the money paid. I will definitely be returning to try other things next time. To Lisa, Yas/Yaz (the grill chef) and all the people who worked hard to make my meal a delight for me to enjoy, thanks for a great experience, excellent service and great tasting food 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Shiraz BBQ, offers you a cosy ambiance, plenty of tables without feeling overcrowded. Music is played, pleasant and not loud and also toilet facilities. Definitely a place to return to again and again, right in the heart of Liverpool.

Firstly, it’s quite small so booking is recommended. We didn’t but luckily a table for 2 was just becoming available. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Cheesy garlic bread to start - tasty but a large portion for two (be careful if you don’t want to be stuffed before your main!). The main dish was lovely - great chips, bread, rice and salad to accompany the meat selection. Their special sauce was also very tasty but I personally would like a more spicy option. All round excellent value across the whole menu. I noticed their burger meals were amazing value - table next to us got them and they looked great. They also serve breakfast.

Have been coming here for a few years now. Never disappoints. Tonight (Dec 17th '22.), I had the Special Mixed Kebab and once again everything was perfect. Even though I've had this before, tonight it felt like the first time all over again. Wow! The food is something to savour time and time again and leaves you wanting more even though you're full to the brim! The special sauce served as a side is the elixir of delight. Staff are 100%, the best. During the 'lockdown' they also provided a delivery service. Amazing. The best go-to in Liverpool. Ten stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amazing find in city centre. Right by hard days night hotel and opposite Slug and Lettuce bar. Authentic bbq grill food which is tasty and cheaply priced!! You can just have a toaster and a tea if you want, omelettes are fab too as is the all day breakfast. Massive ha!! A special mention should be made for the Shiraz special homemade burgers OMG they’re amazing. Another special mention should go to the staff especially Lorraine who’s so friendly such a lovely girl. Always makes us feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. She is always busy but always service with a smile. 😁 A great little gem in Liverpool so much so they’re opened a larger 2 floor Shiraz Palace opposite the Adelphi Hotel. We still live the homely cosy feel of the North John St cafe though and return nearly every week ha. Well done Shiraz keep up the great...

Wow, had a great meal here the restaurant was packed which is a good sign. Food was amazing we had Halloumi Cheese and a mixed Meze to start and then we both had mixed kebabs and the portion sizes were huge, plus the fresh baked flat bread was delicious too. The main course comes with two skewers of your your choice salad, rice and some flat bread. You can also choose some sauces to accompany your meal.

Staff are very friendly and the place has a nice family atmosphere, all the food looks amazing and the smells will drive you wild. The place was very busy with a steady flow of people coming in and many being turned away so its wise to book a table in advance as we did.

Well worth a visit and prices are really cheap also both had a starter and a main with a bottle of wine and the bill was only £46

We will be...
