Skaus is hands down one of the best brunch spots I’ve been to in Liverpool. The atmosphere is relaxed and beautifully minimal, with friendly staff who genuinely care about the experience. The menu is creative but approachable full of proper flavour, local ingredients, and thoughtful touches. I had the hot chocolate with toasted marshmallows, and it was next level rich, velvety, and topped with the most perfectly torched, gooey marshmallows I’ve ever had. Easily one of the best hot chocolates I’ve tried anywhere. There’s also a well-stocked fridge with drinks, local produce, and chilled wines all beautifully presented and perfect for grabbing something extra to take home. I also loved how everything is so well thought out, from the quality of the bread to the balance in the flavour pairings (like their miso mushrooms on toast incredible). You can tell they take a lot of pride in what they serve. Whether you’re popping in for brunch, a coffee, or a treat to go, Skaus is consistently excellent. Highly recommend!

Skaus has a Scandinavianish menu, is hosted by lovely, friendly staff and it is spotlessly clean. The soda bread here is absolutely delicious, so if it's a menu option for you, go for it. The portions are extremely generous, there is a good selection of drinks including local ales from Glen Affric and Love Lane. My only gripe is the pickled beetroot: even though the slices were thin, it was tough, almost uncooked. I have made enough pickled veg in my life guys, and yours I found difficult to cut with a knife.

Went in for lunch today, I didn’t think there was a table free so went outside to tell my husband but the lovely staff member informed me that there was window seating and when a table became free, they would move us if we wanted. Now on to the food, it was absolutely incredible. Everything came out perfectly cooked and the homemade hash browns are a must order. Needless to say, we will be returning very soon. Thank you 🤩

I have been to SKAUS @ HUS a few times now. There is a great selection of Scandinavian dishes; I would especially recommend the open sandwiches on the lunch menu which are served with hassleback chips. The food is always cooked perfectly, well presented and well balanced. The service is friendly and timely, I can eat there in a lunch hour and be back in time as they have several items on the menu that are ‘express’ items. The parsnip cake for dessert is amaaazing, definitely get it! The mushrooms on toast is also lovely for a light dinner. Definitely go if you...

Been to SKAUS for another one of their imfamous evening meals. I have yet to be anything other than blown away. I have now been to their evening events on several occasions and no matter whether for new years, or not, regular chefs or a guest chef the ambience is great, the serving staff are polite and friendly and the food is always perfect!

I have also been here for breakfast and brunch plenty of times and by now have sampled most of the menu, I have yet to be disappointed.

This is my go to breakfast location to bring friends and family when they visit from...
