Thai me up — Restaurant in Liverpool

We ordered food at 19:15 wait time was 20:55... considering the current climate wouldnt moan .... Still waiting at 21:15 checked said it was on the way.... rung again said it was just leaving the kitchen but she would tell delivery driver to deliver ours first ...... 21.35 still not arrived ... rung back .... how did we order I was asked ... then I was given the most ridiculous explanation... basically if you ring up and complain you are 'bumped' up the delivery list when I tried to get her to explain she hung up on me . However I was prepared to let all of that go as I was so hungry by then ... so if the food was nice I would let all of that go by ..... well all I can say if this is the food dished up in the restaurant people must be easily pleased because it was awful .. One dish was red thai curry .... where was the meat??? My dish was duck which if I didnt know what I ordered I wouldn't have known it was duck also nowhere in the description of dish did it say chick peas !!!!! So I paid £38 for food that we honestly threw in the bin.... a really expensive takeaway.... a suggestion if you are trying to stay afloat in these terrible times, don't take on more than you can cope with .2hrs 35 mins for 2 starters/2mains .... or tell people the actual time they are going to wait....needless to say wont ever order again or...

Used to order from these place regularly when it was called Thai Cuisine Express. Was always extremely satisfied with how good it was for the price, and how packed full of flavour it was. Unfortunately, tonight we ordered a delivery (which said would take 20-30 mins) and arrived over an hour later. The food is comparably bland now too. I had steamed sea bass in chilli, lime and ginger, which was predominantly water and celery - including the inedible root of the celery. It was more of a watery broth than steamed reduced sauce, and with rice it cost 19 pounds! My partner ordered prawn pad Thai that contained 2 prawns and was unfortunately quite bland, £13.50 I understand that costs are going up for restaurants, and understand that price increases or corners being cut are inevitable. However raising prices so significantly in combination with skimping on ingredients means that the customer is twice worse off than before.

I've ordered takeaway from here on a number of occasions and really enjoyed the food, however the last two times I've had food poisoning. Last time it was just my wife, but this time we both got it. And I've realised it's the Ben & Jerry's ice creams they sell which I think must have been defrosted and re-frozen. I know it's odd to give 3 starts when you've had food poisoning, but until recently I would have given 5 starts. My last order was last Thursday, I spent all day Friday in bed and vomiting, and am still feeling the effects of this 4 days on. So I'm sorry to say I won't be going back to Thai Cuisine Express as this experience has scarred me. The food is good, but stay away from...
