A picture says a thousand words! I don’t think I need to say more than the picture… However I will, as it needs saying! Very few pubs have such a nice and genuine relaxed feel and atmosphere, amazing prices and unbelievable quality of lagers, real ales and the Guinness, god the Guinness. Wow! It’s a true local, a true British old English pub! It tolerates no trouble or any sort of bad behaviour or off putting situations for the rest. It’s the only pub I truly feel safe and welcome. Very few real pubs have this. I’ve never had a bad pint or a bad day/evening, ever! So friendly, very professional and outstanding service, particularly from the barman/manager. I’m not sure of his name, handsome chap with a beard and cap. He clearly knows what people drink (even non regulars such as me) as he is already confirming the drink you had correct glass in hand as you walk up to the bar. What a wonderfully diverse collection of patrons too. All friendly, polite and happy. A genuine great atmosphere round. A real good mix!! A real understated and reserved hidden gem. Go on, have a drink here. You’ll really enjoy it, it’s wonderful and, well…..really bloody nice. Then just thank me later! Constructive criticism…..erm, if I’m completely honest, now I am nitpicking here….the gents toilets could be better and need to be a little bigger especially when busy. But a small fly in an otherwise fantastic bottle of ointment. I forgive this as a quick visit to a small gents bathroom is not the end of the world, is it? Keep going guys, top job!

Stopped in to this place after a walk around Sefton Park... fantastic, Aussie rules on the tv and the barman, James, was pretty cool for a southerner. Happy to support my fellow Evertonians šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

Just love it here. Lark lane has gone down the pan for a quite drink and we tried to find somewhere close with a nice atmosphere and great ales. We definitely found it here. Constantly changing draught at good prices and German bottles which my husband loves. Gorgeous stained glass and friendly helpful staff....

Popped in, and it was a delight I wasn't expecting! Had the game on, choice of beers were superb, like a mini Ship and Mitre! 3 hand pulls and a decent selection of bottled German beers. I've been in most pubs in the area, and I'd say this is by far the best to go in for choice,...
