The Belvedere is definitely in contention as one of Liverpool's smallest drinking establishments, saved some time ago from redevelopment into housing the Belvedere has gone on to become a real regular haunt for beer lovers in Liverpool and has even appeared on period TV shows.
Consisting of two small main rooms the Pub can become very crowded very quickly, in the winter with the fires on it can be fantastically cosy. Owing to its proximity to the Philharmonic hall and other theatres it can be very busy during intermission as people pop in for a quick drink. Other obvious links are the great musical posters dotted around the pub.
Cask ale is available at the bar and often includes a local beer. The Belvedere has been at the forefront of a recent resurgence of interest in Gin in the city so checkout their "Ginasium"...

I haven't been here for a while, because the staff don't seem to care. Just reinforced my feeling. There for the passers-by and no attempt to create an atmosphere. Read moreFound this pub quite by accident and what a little gem. C.A.M.R.A people will know of it. On our latest visit to Liverpool we decided to go and have a look at 62 Faulkner Street. Not the most original idea but we wouldn't have found the Belvedere Arms otherwise. This is your property back street pub, it has a bar and I might be stretching it a bit if I said lounge but what a wonderful little place. You'll get a fine pint and a good amount of banter. No hot food. Pork pies to die for though. Even if you're not a real ale drinker go and have a look at the beautiful etched glass shutters. That's an excuse to go back in never got...
