This is one great pub,a light and airy interior with great decor and furnishings including a very eyecatching and long serving bar,it has two raised areas in the pub and plenty of seating options spread throughout including a superb terrace looking out onto the busy and bustling streets around this wonderful pub and over to the famous Cathedral.
We were here on a Wednesday early afternoon and this place was just starting to get busy with a great atmosphere, after a quick study of the beers on offer we both decided to have an Okell's bitter each and these were served in tip top condition ,we got a nice table and just chilled out and took in The wonderful pub we were in. The Okell's bitter was really tasty,an easy to drink bitter packed with taste .
This is a pub I have been going to for many years now and with each visit it gets better and better. We really enjoyed our bitters in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
The Fly In The Loaf Pub is really easy to locate on Hardman Street,it's just past the famous Bombed Out Church ( St Luke's) and in an area teeming with pubs, bars and...
Read moreThey have about 16 real ales on tap many I'd never tried before, and was looking forward to getting through several that night with several members of my family also looking forward to a good session, but they wouldn't give me a "taster" when I asked for one, I was told they don't do tasters I said "but you have so many ales here How I'm I suppose to choose" i was told again they don't do them, so I turned to my family I said "I'll have to write a review on this pub", my brother also revealed to the barman that he was a secret shopper and it wasn't looking good for them, then another chap who I presume was the manager, (he was dressed different to the others) gave him a small taster glass and told him to give me a taster. We were all disappointed in the attitude of the staff, given how many choices they have I'd be surprised if, given the prices, anyone would pay for a pint without first tasting it. so we had one drink and moved on, where we found some good pubs with real ale, and everyone of them offered us a taste...
Read moreFabulous afternoon spent here on Saturday 11th February 2017 when Liverpool played Spurs! I think my partner and I were the only Spurs supporters in there but we had a great time! Food was good although there was some confusion over my order, twice! They were great though and offered us our 4 meals for free because it had been such a confusion! I ended up eating alone after everyone else had finished as it took so long but I have to say, the pub was rammed full so it was hardly surprising that might have been some errors. Staff were so friendly and helpful and even brought our drinks to the table when we ordered so we didn't have to fight to get to the bar! It was all very exciting for us as our first time in Liverpool but have to say How FRIENDLY are the Liverpudlians?? Loved it! Had a brilliant...
