Not the most hygienic of places, I know contamination happens but the same person who was dealing with the salmon and had splashed salmon juice on the counter then proceeded to do strawberries in the same place for desserts. It wasn't until the strawberries had been all picked and cut etc that the surface was then cleaned by a different member of staff. We ordered, 2 large Pumpkin Katsu Curry's, 1 large Chicken Katsu curry and plain fries. The 2 Pumpkin Katsus were made first but were given to the people next to us who then took it off the server so they both had their thumb in our food. They then gave it back to the server... Another thumb in our food who then gave it to us. Which was quite unpleasant. We had ordered from our table with QR code so they should have know where we sat. We had finished the Pumpkin Katsu before the Chicken Katsu had arrived, even though we were told the Chicken Katsu would be on the way soon after being passed the Pumpkin Katsu. Food was hot and lots of choice which has earnt the 2 stars but wouldn't go back to this branch.

Yo! Sushi, in Liverpool One, is always an enjoyable experience. For one, I'm vegetarian and they always have a varied selection of interesting stuff for me to choose from; and two, you get your food pretty quick. At my latest visit, I had one of the best items ever. The 'Nourish Bowl', it was packed with interesting veggies (Edame Beans, Sweetcorn, Seaweed, Avocado, Broccoli and Coleslaw) on a bed of Spinach and Sushi Rice. It was fresh, tasty and filling. But, it is only available until 31st January so hurry or you might miss out. Highly recommended... and there are also meat and fish varieties as part of the 'Bowl' options.

Post lock down Yo Sushi is a very different experience. You order on your smartphone and the food comes to you by belt. The new belt automatically stops when your food is in front of you and traffic light signals show if the food is for you or another table. Payment is made by smartphone when you order so it's a very slick process. Unlike before covid, there isn't the opportunity to take random dishes from the belt as all food has to be ordered by the app. This means you can't spend a couple of hours eating whatever takes your fancy. The new system isn't worse, it's just different, but in my opinion, better.

Came to this “restaurant” with my friends to try the bottomless belt for one hour. Already with the time limit and the fact that you must finish your food within the hour or be fined was ridiculous.Bare in mind the bottomless belt costs £30, extremely overpriced for what we received. Initially excited to eat a variety of food as displayed on the adverts, I was immensely dissatisfied. Not only was the diversity of the dishes limited, but they were mostly vegan or vegetarian which isn’t a problem except that was the majority of the dishes. I didn’t come to eat vegetables, but seafood which is pretty expected considering a major concept of sushi is fish. When we asked the waitress if there was any salmon or yellow dishes, she said they did not have salmon prepared. Why they didn’t have a key element of sushi prepared during opening hours is beyond me. They instead gave us specially requested tuna sashimi. If they had tuna why aren’t there giving them out at all. The sashimi and general seafood is what the majority of people come for. As for the chefs, forgive me if I am mistaken but I was under the impression that one must wear a hair net to cover their beard whilst cooking, which the majority of them were just stood there doing nothing, however he was not wearing anything to cover his beard which I find extremely unhygienic. Even my cooks...

Have been there recently, was craving sushi so decided to give it a visit. Was extremely dissappointed with the service received and food was not of good quality either. I have been in the hospitality industry for over 10 years, so I know what I am talking about.

The staff here neglect the customers by chatting with each other. I understand chatting for a bit is reasonable but not ignoring the customers as well. There were few girls on the other side of the belt talking to each other and when I press the bell, 2 of them just looked at me with hate. Like I did something wrong. If you don't want to work there, then don't come in. The manager or supervisor was the only one I can say did a good job by passing by our table and check. She was very polite and nice..but maybe too nice to tell the other staff to get back to work.

I didn't expect much from the food and as proven, it was of bad quality. Bare in mind, my family have few sushi restaurants so I eat sushi all the time. Decided to give this restaurant a try anyway.

The experience that I got from this place was so bad due to the attitude of the staff, food was not good but not so bad to receive 1 star. I am judging on the whole experience. We paid £70 for sushi for 3 which is reasonable price for sushi, however it was not...

Beware of double charges! I went to eat at this restaurant today and the service is the worst. They treated me like a thief.

I had salmon sushi and a slightly spicy sushi called 'dynamite roll', both for about £10. When my friends and I finished our sushi and were leaving the restaurant, a woman who looked like the manager with lots of tattoos stopped us and asked us to pay. But we had all ordered online and paid by card, so what was this about? She said that the plate of sushi you ate was pink, so you must have taken it from the lane, so you had to pay for it.

But I only ordered two sushi and one of them, the dynamite roll, arrived on a pink plate. So it was not my fault and I insisted that I did not take the sushi from the lane, but they didn't believe me at all and kept intimidating me to pay.

I showed them the evidence with my payment information (information that I had already paid £10), but they still didn't believe me. Finally, they said something like I forgive you this time. There was no apology at all. I will never go back and I am sure you will all be treated as a scam too, so...
