I attended a private event on Sunday, bangldn, with 12th knot staff servicing the event. I will NEVER return to 12th knot or sea containers again, based on the discriminative treatment I received from their staff. The bar man in the yellow shirt did not want to serve me. Imagine being directly in front of the barman for a good 10minutes and he’s serving everyone around you, including newcomers. When I finally waved to get his attention as he was deliberately ignoring me, He was rolling his eyes, giving so much attitude because I requested the drink to have less ice. Then there’s Angie. Now Angie was giving me a hard time for being in an area where other people were presently dancing, but for some reason, she had an issue with me being there. So much so, that when I requested to order food, she told be I had to buy a table for £250. As a result, I had asked the co event host to have to food sent to his table, which meant I had to move to a now more crowded area, where unfortunately my phone was stolen. At the end of the night, I spoke with the event owner, Dean as well as the assistant general manager, Elizabeth, who let it been known that I in fact did not have to buy a £250 table in order to order food. The icing on the cake was after letting Angie know I had my phone stolen, because of this, Angie starts laughing, and not a cheeky smirk. Angie is full blown laughing. I say this to say, in all my years of going out I have never experienced such discrimination. I do believe it was racially motivated, which is sad to say in 2025. To black women looking to venture out and try new bars, avoid 12th knot like the plague. They don’t want our kind there, or at least that’s how I was made to...
