I really cannot recommend going here. I expected much better at a 5 star hotel’s restaurant, and I’m really sad that I spent one of the few nights I’ll ever be in London going here for dinner

I went 2 times in total

The first was for breakfast and things went ok. I wanted the lobster roll, but was told it isn’t available during breakfast. Fair enough. I got the full English breakfast instead, which they really did mean it when they say full. The eggs were made great too, super vibrant yolks, and the green onions on top were a really nice touch

I came back for dinner and waited a few minutes at the front as there was nobody available. Once seated I tried to order the lobster roll but… that’s a brunch only item apparently? I asked for a few minutes, and once my waitress came back, I tried to order the mussels… not available today (a Saturday where dinner has yet to have picked up). I settled for the crab toast to get my seafood fix

The crab was honestly disgusting. I took three or four bites, but it was pungently fishy, reeked of lemon, and extremely overly salty. I genuinely believe it was canned crab. My waitress asked if everything was ok, and I mentioned it didn’t taste great, and I was done. I asked if it was canned but she said no, it’s completely fresh. I had her take it away as I felt sick from eating it

I asked for the dessert menu instead since many other things didn’t look appetizing. She took my order, and I kid you not I waited 30+ minutes before I could find any information about it. She did not check on me once during this time, and I tried to flag her multiple times. I had to bother another staff member, and apparently the order just never made it through. That staff member had to bring it out to me

And this isn’t one of those time exaggerating situations, if you go back and watch the cameras I was sat in my seat with zero service waiting on dessert for 30+ minutes

The toffee pudding was overly sweet, and the apple crumble starts spilling all over the sides when you try to put your spoon in it. It’s not a well thought out dessert

To top it all off, there was a 13.5% service charge. The highest I’ve seen in London. Please do not support this...

After making a reservation by phone, specifically requesting the thanksgiving set menu, at the same time as our starters were served, we were informed that the turkey had run out. We were offered chicken instead, but when I asked what discount what be offered, I was initially told there would be none. I requested that our waiter speak with someone who had authority to offer a discount, and they did eventually, however this must have taken the best part of half an hour. After a small discount was agreed we then discovered our main course order had not put through and so we had to wait around an hour between our starter and main course. After finishing our main course, we were then informed that the pecan pie had also run out! The “apology” we received from our waiter was that the restaurant had had a great night, and because of that certain things had run out - this felt like a wholly inappropriate way to explain the situation. We decided we no longer wanted dessert given that 2 of the 3 menu items we had been expecting had proved to be unavailable and so requested the bill. We were asked if we wanted any coffee or other drinks and replied that we would happily accept them if they were complimentary (which would’ve been a nice gesture given the incredibly disappointing experience up to that point) however our waiter did not respond and simply walked away. The bill arrived with the standard 12.5% service charge included, which seemed ridiculous given the circumstances so I requested that it be removed, which it was. We also noted that we did not appear to be the only people who had been left frustrated that evening, with the people on the tables to both sides of us also making complaints. As a final point, we had ordered a bottle of wine when we first sat down, but the waiter insisted on keeping this at his stand instead of leaving it on the table, which meant that on several occasions our glasses were left empty. All in all, a bad experience and not what I would expect when spending that...

Terrible service at this restaurant. Where to begin. Went in for a sunday breakfast, told that it is a buffet style, great. 2 of us wanted to eat and 1 other just wanted a coffee. So we get our food and sit down to eat. Immediately i have a waiter squeeze between the gap of my chair and the ladies chair who is positioned behind me. A waiter comes over to ask if we would like teas or coffees, we order 1 of each. In the next 5 minutes no less than 6 waiters decided to keep bashing me and the lady behind me squeezing between our chairs, the final straw was when a waiter carrying a tray decided to stand around trying to squeeze in, at which point i stood up, (still 3/4 of my plate full of food) looked at him and pulled my chair in, in an attempt to show him how unprofessional it is to keep bashing us and disturbing us as we eat. This had no effect whatsoever and he just walked through without saying a word. At this point i asked a waiter to tell the staff to stop walking behind me, to which he replys he doesn't understand. I ask for someone who can understand English and he brings another waiter over. I tell him what is happening, at which point the lady behind me says she had been wacked in the head as well with no apology. At some point in this mess a single coffee arrived. My partners tea did not. My mother who was having the coffee asked for milk to which thr waiter replied there is some in the jug. There wasn't. Went up to the counter where there was a barista making coffees and he ignored me for a few minutes till i said excuse me.. before irritatingly signalling to a colleague to deal with the distraction. I got the milk and at the end of the service the waiter handed us a bill for 3x breakfasts instead of 2 plus a drink.

The food itself was palatable, the eggs were tasteless and undercooked. For a £20 breakfast it was an absolute joke. You aren't paying for superior tasting food so you would at least expect service to be exceptional. I've had better...

Sea Containers has a perfect location on the front of the River Thames, with amazing views of the city lights at Night. Really nice stylish restaurant, even the toilets are Glam. There were six of us dinning and we went for the 3 courses for £30 Meal deal. We did not get to choose our food, we were told we would get enough of each thing on the menu to share between us. Nice if you want a mixture of things to try, but not that great if you don’t eat the other stuff, and when it came to the steak you were unable to choose how you would like your steak cooked, They just served it up rare, which I did not like as I am more of a medium cooked steak lover, so steak was too under cooked for me to enjoy. Your allowed to choose your own dessert and get that all to yourself. The food overall was very nice and flavorful, good mixture of stuff on the menu. For starters you get the Bibb Lettuce, Cured Loch Duart Salmon and Grilled Leeks. All were very nice. For Mains we got Trofie, Pan seared Salmon which came with mussels and we also got the Seared Skirt Steak. The Salmon was the best from the mains for me and the pasta was good too, a lot of pesto on the pasta though. For dessert I went for the Sticky Toffee Pudding and others in the group went for the Crème Brulee. Both desserts were very nice, however the sticky toffee was very sweet. Warning Drinks are very expensive here, so if your not willing to splash the cash then think twice lol The service was very slow, but staff were friendly. After our meal we went up to the sky bar 12th Knot. Absolutely amazing bar with amazing views, great music and they even have a photo booth to have fun in and take great boomerang pictures. Again very expensive up there but worth it for the view and atmosphere. I will definitely be returning here, but I would not go for the meal deal again.

Bland lukewarm food, arrogant waiters, extremely slow service. Cold, unflavoured and weird combinations totally off the mark at extortionate prices. Towards the end of the meal, the waiter argued with us on several points at the table which we had desperately tried to avoid and preferred to mention our multiple issues upon exit with the maitre d, rather than embarrass staff during service where others could hear our issues, but waiter really took us to town on our polite challenges on the food and delays and had a go at us! As you will see, we visit a lot of places and rarely leave a bad review, sad that we feel obligated to warn others not to waste time and money. I see they may have been good at one point but it has gone downhill these past few weeks. We have been forced to put our complaint in writing to them and only offered 20% off on next visit (making the food uncompetitive rather than extortionate!) rather than any money back / discount off the bill, we weren't comp'd anything, not even a coffee on the night which would have been an attempt to resolve and strange that a high end place didn't do anything on the night to sort out the situation even though they had opportunity to do so. We have been forced to liaise now with management in writing,a waste of everyone's time when it could have been dealt with on the night. Stick to burger and chips here, they looked alright on other tables but plenty of wonderful places in London to eat for a fraction of the price than to suffer this nonsense. The restaurant is very pretty though and in a good location. We had a timeout voucher which cost £50 and paid another £25 for 1 coffee, soft drink and a side dish so £75 without booze for the privilege of ruining a special occasion

Found this place by chance, first thing you need to know is, it is part of a hotel which will help you find it. As you enter the hotel itself is beautiful downstairs, with a ship/sea theme. When we arrived the staff were friendly and the restaurant is more on the high end. The menu isn’t huge but a good mix of meat, fish and veg. Sadly they had some issue with the order as their system went down, we waited a very long time and these things do happen but no one told us. Eventually we flagged someone down, and she explained the issue and offered us drinks and took care of us (the stunning lady who looks like Lucy Lu, I wish I knew your name), she was absolutely amazing with her service and hence why I have given it a 4 on service. She went out of her to make sure we were ok and just was wonderful. The starters here was amazing, can’t not recommend the ceviche tacos enough! I’d just come back for those! The main dish are actually quite big, the halibut was served beautifully but for me personally I wish the sauce had a bit more kick but recommend the Mac and cheese side. Definitely would come back if I fancy some fish, I’m coming back for the whole sea bass and next time I will try to come during summer as restaurant is sitting on the Thames. Great place for date night.
