Food was great! We had the vegan combination plate for two with the hot chickpea dip, and it was more than we could finish. Loved it. Price was very reasonable. Service was very friendly, but the "tag team" approach made it a little difficult to know who to ask for what. It was very clean, comfortable, and pleasant, except the music. Initially it was fairly traditional, and I don't know if they realized I was American and thought we all loved country music (we don't!) or what. Suddenly, in a traditional Ethiopian restaurant in the middle of London, I heard American country music twanging out! It wasn't so much an irritation as it made us laugh. But would definitely recommend!
Update Sept 21 2023: Travelled halfway across London to make sure it was still a good place to eat. 😉 Confirmed. It was delicious, and my husband almost had to roll me out the door due to food coma. We had the vegan combo with the hot garbanzo dip; were both stuffed and still had enough left over for another...
Read moreI was looking for inspiration for an InterNations event and came across this very affordable, clean and easy to get to place.
For most of us who attend it was our first time to eat Éthiopien cuisine, waaaw everyone loved the food, it was a great discovery to the pallet. Everyone ordered Adam’s Special Combination meals to sample the different dishes. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and I loved the fact that I was able to have my food not too spicy. Now for those who never tried Injera before, like myself, I need to warn you that it tastes tangy, like they added lemon or vinegar to it, but that’s because this spongy flat bread is made of fermented sourdough.
The atmosphere, the simple yet authentic decor made this restaurant warm and cosy, we truly enjoyed the experience and will be hosting another event there soon.
A big thank you to the staff...
Read moreMy wife and myself visited this restaurant due to the number of glowing reviews on Google. However we left severely dissapointed. The lamb on the bone was more like bone on the lamb. The lamb was missing completely on one side all that was visible was the bone and on the other side there was very little lamb. The description of the dish on the menu also mentioned it was cooked in ginger and garlic neither of which I could taste. The dish mainly consisted of rolled bread with a very tangy taste which I didn't find pleasant and I couldnt tolerate. The saving grace was the bowl of rice that I ordered otherwise I would have left hungry. I stopped at Mc Donald's on the way home to get a Mc Chicken Sandwich meal but after paying nearly £40.00 I wouldn't expect to...
