Afters — Restaurant in London

Not welcomed when we arrived. 2 young men behind the counter busy. Asked if we should just sit down as hadn't been there before and they just said sit anywhere in a (can't be bothered fashion). I had to ask if we ordered at the counter as it wasn't clear.

I ordered a kids pudding and noticed he was putting whipped cream all over it. It should come with whipped ice cream so I told him - he said their machine is broken. I said I don't like cream. He put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on instead which was fine. I noticed he was putting minstrels on it and when he bought it over I asked where the buttons were as minstrels were not on the description. He put some buttons on top as well.

My daughter had the choc fudge cake warmed up with hot choc fudge sauce. It looked like it had landed from a great height. Perhaps put the sauce separate in a jug. Great taste. Massive slice. Too sweet. She only ate half.

I felt I was in the way, being awkward, self conscious and I won't be going there again.

It was nearly empty and I can see why. It's such a shame cause kids (and adults) go there for a treat and are really excited beforehand and it would be lovely to be met with a smile...

Best place ever! Only my first time but will be returning soon! First come into the place, greeted by a staff and range of seats to choose from. Lots of choices to choose from! Perfect for sweet tooths, or any chocolate or dessert lover! Unfortunately they don't do the dine in fifty percent off, but I ordered a strawberry surprise which is strawberry and vanilla ice cream, with strawberries, Wafflers, cigar chocolate sticks and to my surprise it comes with a cake inside (of course of your choice of cake you can pick from). I chose the red velvet cake and this was buried under the ice-cream, and covered with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles which was just perfect temperature, not too cold! That was a wonderful surprise! My friends ordered chocolate fudge cake, red velvet cake, cookie dough, toffee ice-cream and drinks of hot chocolate and a mocha! All looks amazing! Giving this place 1 star is too much!! I went there and asked for the menu and in return i received rude abrupt responses from the staff. Then I was waiting to be served for over 15 minutes, I asked one of the female members of staff if shes serving and she rudely walked away from the till and ignored my question. All the members of staff behind the till were just staring and speaking in their own language. I had to remove myself from the shop before I saw red. Do not go to this place they have no respect for customers and they do not know BASIC manners. Other than that the place was not following social distance rules, very unhygienic too (sticky tables etc). Save yourselves and don't go. I left the shop and crossed the road, directly opposite this mess of a shop is a dessert shop called "LOVE A SLICE" there they have manners, they are kind and their food is so nice!! Go there instead of "Afters". You'll receive great customer service and amazing waffles etc. DO NOT GO...
