I would rate zero if I could.
Last night a good friend of ours invited us to go the white horse for dinner as he goes regularly and highly rated the burgers. So we went for a family dinner me my daughter my husband and him and his wife and daughter for a quiet family meal. When going to order drinks to begin with I was asked for ID to order a beer, which isnât a problem but I didnât have any and neither did our friends wife (bare in mind I am 32 and she is 50+ years old) having gone back to the table We said we would happily just drink a Diet Coke while our husbands have a beer as they had shown there Id, we were mainly there to eat dinner not drinking a beer didnât bother me at all. But to my surprise when the boys returned to the table they said they were refused service as they were still at the table with us. How embarrassing for you guys to turn away grown adults that were drinking Diet Coke and wanted to enjoy a nice meal at your pub. We left and took our business elsewhere. And the staff there refused to give us names and the bartender claimed to be the manager so he didnât need to go and get him when we asked to speak to the manager. On a brighter note we had a fantastic meal with great drinks and top service at pizza...
Read moreI had a disappointing experience at this pub this evening.
The service was terrible. They reduced the food menu to only a few options: two or three types of pizzas, about five side dishes (like chicken wings and chips with Guinness sauce and cheese), and three different burgers that donât even come with chips.
When I asked about the limited menu, the staff told me it was a temporary change due to the football.
When the food finally arrived, we had to ask for cutlery.
The guy who brought the food was moaning a bit, though not rudely, about having to go back and forth with other people's orders.
Additionally, when I went to the bar to get drinks, there were two women serving.
One of them was helping a customer and saw me waiting, but after finishing with him, she walked away without saying anything.
This left me waiting for the other woman, who then served a group that had arrived after me.
Frustrated, I returned to my table, told my friends about the poor service,...
Read moreI Ordered food at 15:40 on Sunday 22nd of September, Simple order of a burger and a side. At 16:25 I've noticed my food has been given to someone else. I knew it straight away when the guy who got my burger looked confused but still accepted it.
And now while writing this the bar staff have done a check back on my food but it's not me.
I was then offered for the food to be re processed but before processing my refund I hear the barman saying to another customer 45mins from when you order.
In my personal opinion I should be priority and going back to the kitchen and say do this order ASAP
The worst thing about it was the bar staff knew the burger was for me cause I had to go collect my own drink.
And now have to wait 2 days for a refund without being told this
And now that table of 6 food has come out and confused at why there's another burger on the table when he's eaten.
Not being funny I would like some sort of compensation for this absolute...
