Love A Slice Beckenham — Restaurant in London

Theres alot to like about this place , the cakes are good although I think over priced , the fresh waffles nice and stay warm if you get a delivery . I think it should be free delivery for people who also live on the high street , no need to be charging a fee especially as you don't pay the delivery drivers you have alot of money . What I dont like is when a friend was working there as a delivery driver , if there was no deliveries the owner would tell them to come inside the shop and work and was paying £6 n hour with a small delivery fee , I think considering how much these guys earn theres no need to take advantage of people . Anyway , the manager a young guy he has been there for a long long time , he is a keeper I wouldnt get rid of him . I bought a coffee the other day , third time now I nearly got 3rd degree burns so chill out with the heating up of the milk ....

I have been going here for years and cannot fault the waffles and milkshakes which are fantastic but where they really really let down is the cake and cheesecake slice sizes (tiny) and the wait times for delivery(at least an hour and almost always late)! I rarely get a slice of cake/cheesecake but as I fancied a New York cheesecake today I decided just to go for it... the slice was barely half the height of it's container and was maybe just half the width, and then it didn't even taste that great, I've had better from the supermarket. For £4.99 I was incredibly disappointed. I have seen a lot of others reviews about tiny cake and cheesecake slices, because of that, I would avoid buying a name sake slice and choose a waffle of milkshake, which is way better...

The indian old lady cashier was atrocious as she made me look like a thief to other fellow customers.I told her I was going to pay for my meal and my friend's and handed her the money for both meals. I specifically told her that i'm paying for 2. She handed me back change and receipt. I didn't even check any change or receipt she handed me as i believe she has taken for 2 which i told her. As i was just about to leave, she made a scene by shouting about how there's still a meal to pay, even though I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HER I WAS PAYING FOR 2 when i gave her the money. it was SO ANNOYING AND SO I'M SO DISAPPOINTED after a good evening...
