We visited this restaurant as it has been on our list of Iranian restaurants to try in ages as we live outside London. First impression: The queue system outside in the cold was very off putting and diabolical. The restaurant itself is average and very small. It is not disabled friendly. If you need to use the toilet, you either need to be a dwarf or a size zero as the stairs going downstairs is not made for adults. It was a shame that I did not see any Iranians in the restaurant, it was mainly Arabs and Indians, which is a typical Iranian thing not supporting their own community and such restaurants no longer catering for Iranians as we know our food so well. The staff were friendly, the service was good. However, I do need to make some constructive criticism about the food. We asked for 2 bread, but we were advised one should suffice, which was okay I guess so not to waste food. The Ash Reshteh was very small and average, the picture has made it look as if it was a lot. The paneer, sabzi, walnut was very small compare to other Iranian restaurants and so dull looking. The mixed torshi tasted weird and just not nice. As for the food, the rice was perfect for a child and as an Iranian restaurant they should know better to serve such little rice. The chicken mince kebab was average. Mine was chicken and lamb kebab, honestly I have had much better. To wash it all down, we ordered some tea. Very disappointing, where was the teapots? The mint tea should have been just mint, not mix with tea. Where as the sugar cubes? As an Iranian restaurant and Iranians you really should know better. Overall, disappointing, I am glad we went, but we will not be returning again sadly.

Colbeh - A Hidden Gem for Persian Cuisine in London I've now been to Colbeh twice for takeaway, and both times the food has been exceptional. The meats are succulent, well-seasoned, and juicy, never dry, and packed with flavour. Every bite feels like a taste of authentic Persian cuisine. Each visit, the restaurant has been buzzing with activity, with people of all backgrounds queuing outside. There's a strong Persian/Middle Eastern presence, which to me is always a great sign that the food is the real deal. The demand speaks volumes, with not only dine-in guests but also Deliveroo riders constantly picking up orders. Service-wise, Ali has been a fantastic host—warm, welcoming, and efficient. Despite the long queues for dining in, my takeaway order was handled swiftly, allowing me to skip the dining-in queue. I only discovered Colbeh by chance, regularly passing it while dropping off/picking up my children from school. Seeing the crowds outside intrigued me, and I’m so glad I finally gave it a try. Having eaten at multiple places along Edgware Road over the past 15 years, I can confidently say this is one of the best Persian spots I’ve found. Highly recommended for both dining in and takeaway! If you love authentic Persian/Iranian cuisine, this is a must-visit. ⭐ 4.6/5 Excellent on Deliveroo (500+ reviews) 🔥 Standout dishes: Joojeh Kabab, Koobideh, and their massive homemade naan! A fantastic dinner experience tucked away in a quiet street in central London. Having eating lots of persian and afghan foods, I must say this was the best restaurant I have found in London, one could even say this is one of the best in the UK! The staff are extremely attentive to each customer’s needs even when the restaurant is busy with people, quickly attending to you and our meal was given to us efficiently too. You get some olives to snack on whilst you wait and when the food itself finally arrives, you can see it was absolutely wonderful. The mast-o-khiar paired with the broth of the lamb shank which they give separately alongside rice too is absolutely divine. So definitely recommend the lamb shank and also the chelo kebab koobideh. Pair all these dishes with their amazing naan and you will be in food heaven ! Even simply dipping the warm stonebaked naan in the mast-o-khiar or ghouzi’s (lamb shank) broth or green chili sauce is the best present you could give your taste buds. I therefore 100% recommend trying the dishes with both rice and naan and mixing it up with the lamb dishes and their condiments! Overall, an amazing experience and I will definitely be returning to and recommending this restaurant to everyone with a warm and cozy atmosphere, the most welcoming staff and hopefully trying some of their ghormeh sabzi and desserts. Thank you for this wonderful dinner!

As a Rare Hidden Gem appreciates in value day by day, so is this Rare Gem among the world of Culinary Delights, called Colbeh , is hidden away in one corner of London, at 6 Porchester Pl, St George's Fields, London W2 2BS. It has been our favourite with my family and friends, and the food at Colbeh is outstanding, and distinctively unique and superb in taste, especially the Khobideh (minced lamb Kebabs and minced chicken kebabs), among so many others just melt in the mouth. When it comes to Persian Cuisine, Colbeh is the first Restaurant that comes to the mind, as my belief is when the taste buds get happy, they automatically trigger the heart and mind to follow suit. The service is 2nd to none, and although the waiting time is quite long sometimes, it’s almost forgotten by the frequent visits by the owners themselves, Mrs.Arta Gazeranchi, and her son, Ali Gazeranchi, who always ensure that we are happy and satisfied with the taste and to enquire if we need anything special taste wise. Arta and Ali ensured that we are served excellently well, and kept Mr. Farshad to take care of us at our table. Farshad pampered us with his superb services, which in my opinion is 2nd to none! I wish the Owners, Management, Executive Officers, and Staff of Colbeh continued progress, to attain the peak of success in all their endeavours, and would request them to kindly convey my comments, and feedback to the staff concerned, as well. As this will not only make me happy but, it will surely motivate them to strive for their best all the...
