I don't normally write reviews - but this was awful, so I had to.
I purchased a 'Too Good to Go' bag, so I wasn't expecting a five-star service for £5. But if you're wondering why this 'restaurant' has 5 star reviews, it's because they bribe you to write one in return for a free mango lassi.
The service was incredibly slow - there was 2 staff in total; one running around bringing food from the back, out of sight, and another woman carrying a baby at the cashiers desk, shouting about the orders. Not sure about hygiene because you could not see anyone cooking, your order was simply brought in from the back.
I waited 15 minutes for a pot of rice and chicken. It was simply cheap boiled rice with stringy, mushy chicken thigh that seemed to be cooked with food colouring to allude you into thinking it had flavour. It was rank, if I'm being honest. I had to wash my mouth out with some crisps.

Read moreThe other reviews who score high most likely did because you get a free mango lassi. My experience was awful. Loud children's music playing on repeat. The place looks tired. I ordered from Too Good To Go for £15 of surplus food (to reduce food waste). He handed over a small bowl of rice and dried up grilled chicken which on the menu is £8.50. I queried this with him and he blamed the high cost of the food platform, VAT etc. I said he cannot advertise £15 of food but only give me £8.50. He repeated what he said before and said I clearly don't understand. I said he was being deceitful as he cannot advertise £15 but only give £8.50 of food. He asked me to leave and he started to walk to the back of the restaurant. I said he should be ashamed that he is tricking people. He told me i should be ashamed! And as already mentioned, the chicken was hard and dry and tasteless. The tomato and lettuce were old and soggy. However the rice did have a lovely slightly sweet...
