A Taste of Home at Apollo Restaurant

Apollo Restaurant has brought a slice of authentic Cyprus back to London, and it's a welcome return. As someone who remembers the original Apollo on Seven Sisters Road, it was a delight to discover that this new, beautifully decorated establishment is run by the same family. The new location is a class act. The interior is spacious and elegantly designed with statues and pictures inspired by Greek mythology. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet comfortable, though it does lack the live music that was a highlight of the old place. However, the food more than makes up for it. The menu features exquisite, simple, home-style Greek Cypriot cooking. I highly recommend the octopus and calamari, which were both cooked to perfection. We also shared the grilled Cyprus chop, which was seasoned simply but delivered an amazing depth of flavour that felt like a proper home-cooked meal. The staff were a true highlight of the evening—professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The service was top-notch from start to finish. A Perfect Evening at Apollo – Outstanding Food, Service & Atmosphere We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Apollo and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. There were seven of us in total, and the whole experience was nothing short of exceptional. Half of us went for the fish and meat meze, while the rest ordered their own individual dishes — and every single plate that came out was unreal. The meze was a standout: fresh, flavourful, and perfectly balanced. From grilled octopus to tender lamb and everything in between, each thoughtfully prepared and packed with authentic Mediterranean flavour. The service was genuinely one of the best we’ve had in London. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel completely looked after the whole evening. You can tell they care about what they do. The atmosphere and stunning interior of the restaurant also added to the experience.

Overall, we had such a great night at Apollo. Amazing food, top-tier service, and a lovely setting. We’ll definitely be returning soon, and recommending it to anyone looking for a proper quality Greek meal...

Following a trip to the cinema in the Brunswick Centre, I was looking for somewhere to have something to eat. I really fancied some grilled meat and rice and I came across Apollo, a stone's throw from the cinema.

From the outside, the restaurant looked bright and modern and on the inside, you discover traditional themes but with a modern vibe. In short, the place feels very classy. The service was superb, friendly and attentative. I decided to skip starters and went straight for the main course of grilled lamb cutlets and rice. The lamb was delicious, tender and charred to perfection. It was exactly what I was looking for ! Looking at other tables, the Meze starters looked amazing and I am looking forward to coming back with others to explore the menu further.
