Tucked near the regal Buckingham Palace, the 'Bag O'Nails' restaurant is a charming gem that combines a wonderful vibe with a fantastic location. My recent visit left me with a mostly positive impression of this establishment, where the energy was palpable, the servers were welcoming, and the ambiance was delightful. The first thing that struck me upon entering was the inviting atmosphere that seemed to envelop the space. The well-thought-out decor and cozy interior immediately set a warm tone for the dining experience. The lively vibe was infectious, and it was clear that this was a place where locals and tourists alike could come together for a good time. Speaking of the location, it's hard to ignore the allure of being in such close proximity to Buckingham Palace. The historical grandeur of the surroundings added an extra layer of appeal to the overall experience. There's a sense of being part of something special as you dine in this location. The servers at 'Bag O'Nails' were a true highlight of the visit. Their friendliness and warm demeanor created a welcoming environment that made us feel right at home. However, it's worth noting that there were instances where getting their attention was a bit challenging. Given the restaurant's bustling nature, it's understandable that they were juggling numerous tables. While this did slightly affect the overall experience, it's a minor quibble considering the busy nature of the establishment. Now, let's talk about the food. The Fish n Chips, a British classic, was satisfying in its own right. However, it did lack a bit of the distinctive flavor that I've come to expect from similar dishes at other establishments. While it wasn't a disappointment by any means, there was room for a bit more seasoning or a unique twist to make it truly memorable. In summary, 'Bag O'Nails' near Buckingham Palace is a place that encapsulates the heart of London's charm. The vibrant atmosphere, friendly servers, and excellent location create an ambiance that's hard to resist. While there might have been some minor issues with getting the server's attention and the flavor profile of the Fish n Chips, these are small blemishes on an otherwise enjoyable experience. I would certainly recommend this restaurant for those seeking a quintessentially British dining experience with a lively twist.

We found this place on the corner near the Airbnb that we rented in London. It is a pretty well established pub so we decided to give it a try. The pub is a little small and does not have a lot of seatng on the ground floor, but there is a dining room upstairs. While we were there though, it was closed off for a special event We needed to either wait for a table or use takeaway, but we found one before long. It took a bit of time to get our order in due to the fact that there was only one person working at the bar. He was however very polite when he finally took our order. When the food eventually came out, they delivered the dessert before they delivered our food, so the table got a little bit crowded and are desert (sticky toffee pudding) had to be rushed through in order to make room for the rest of the plates. I had the beef burger and the wife had the chicken burger. Both were a little dry. We also try to Scotch egg which was a meat experience. All in all with the service wait times and the limited seating, it was just ok, but the s tag was very polite. My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special and a 5 means you were blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing and a 1-star rating is terrible

Popped in for a Sunday lunch. Ordered a roast chicken which was not in the slightest roasted and came without a Yorkshire, when asked was told we needed to order as a side when cleary the menu stated it came with it, the roast potatoes had obviously sat a while and were then reheated to the point of no return. Also, ordered a pork belly that came with an apple and squeak ,which again was no where to be seen but instead was replaced with mashed potato, which would have been OK if told beforehand. We had dirty cutlery given to us after having to ask for it twice. Not worth the price. The young girl working alone upstairs was rushed off her feet.

I came in here because I was walking around after seeing Buckingham Palace and I saw their Sunday Roast sign outside. I ordered this, and it took a long time to order. The roast very much underwhelmed. The meat (I got beef) was room temperature and tough; I mean, just look at it. Would you want to eat that? Very disappointed. However, the sauce that came with it was good and the potatoes were piping hot. The cauliflower was also good. The spicy fried cheese appetizer would get 5 stars. Would definitely order that again.
