Overall experience: not too good. When walking in, I was not greeted by a member of staff and had to walk to the bar at the end of the restaurant to let them know about my reservation for 18:00. I had arrived at 18:10 and the bar lady spoke to another member of staff to take me to my table. I was waiting for a friend and the server did not ask if I would like to look at the menus whilst I am waiting. My friend came, and we chatted for 7 minutes and wondered whether the server would bring us menus. I had to stop a server who was walking by for some menus. When looking at the menus, the organisation of some of the meals, e.g. the sharing platter, was misleading. There was no “choose from either: the tacos, OR” the other dish which I don’t remember. We assumed that it would be everything included. We were waiting for around thirty minutes before the food arrived, which was frustrating. When it arrived the food was actually cold. The mushroom croquettes were extremely tasty however. The tacos, as I said were cold. We didn’t even have any plates. Half way through eating my friend had to ask a server for plates. At the end we received the bill and paid, then left. Overall a mediocre, if even that, experience here at Barrio Soho.

I have to say, this was a pretty awful experience, have read the reviews me and my group were excited to try it but we're left bitterly disappointed but the poor quality of food and an absolute shambles of service. 20min plus to get your drinks after you've waited ages to order. It felt like one guy was running around trying to set everyone. The food portions were small, tacos dry and no taste at all. for a busy Friday night they didn't even have the main ingredients for two of their tacos which is unacceptable. Drinks were ok, when we eventually got them. And then they had the audacity to stick a £50 service charge on which until I said we don't want to pay it, they would have taken it. I have a big issue with restaurants adding service charge and. Or giving the option if we want to pay with or without it. Definitely won't be coming back here in a hurry. Even after spending close to £450. We just didn't feel valued or welcomed. Got told to leave our table at 9pm as there was another booking so we quickly tried to finish our drinks. Clearly this was a lie as when we eventually did depart at 9:45 no-one had come for the table.

Normally don’t leave reviews but we were treated so poorly I couldn’t believe it, we walked in about 4:30 and were told repeatedly a party would be there at 5:30, no worries we just wanted a single round. It took them 30 minutes just to get us a round as they were out of what we had ordered, but that took 15 minutes to tell us. What we finally were given wasn’t even what we said as alternatives either. Once again we were reminded to be out by 5:30 and we again said okay. Had our drinks and then went to go to the toilet where the bartender felt the need to shout at me as I’m walking by we needed to leave for that other party since they’d be showing up soon. For what it’s worth, this was at 5:10, we were out by 5:14, and just for fun we asked the table next to us if they had to leave as well for this special reservation, and they said no. Considering it was supposed to be some grand party, you’d think they’d need more than 4 random seats in the middle right where the wall juts out.

Do not recommend at all. We booked months ago for a Christmas party with 25 people. On speaking when booking, I asked the booking people should I book the Covent Garden venue or should we book the soho branch. She said that the Covent Garden branch was booked for a private event and but soho would be absolutely fine and there would be plenty of space for us in soho. On turning up, some of the party were asked to wait outside for 20mins as they were at capacity. How you can be at capacity when we have a booking is beyond me. Following on from this, we were then shown to our table. The table seated 12 people and was in the middle of the dance floor. There was no space for everyone to sit down, people from the dance floor were bashing into the table and the tables were not large enough to hold the number of food platters we had ordered. The booking was at 8pm, we managed to get in at 8.20 and there were non of our pre ordered drinks to be seen. On asking to speak to the manager we were met with a gentleman who informed us that there isn’t anything he can do and that seating area takes 30. I informed him we had paid close to £700, booked far in advance and this was not acceptable. After an HOUR of going back and forth with this manager, we were getting no where. He told me that due to head office taking the bookings they can not help and that we need to speak to them. By this point it is 9pm. We apparently only have the table for 2 hours and we have had no food or drink. Finally another manager comes out and then manages to move us to two tables upstairs that hold 12 but this was better than being in the mess that was downstairs. Finally at 9.45 nearly 2 hours of arriving the first platter arrived and it was stone cold. Thank you to the second manager who offered us drinks as compensation but to be honest the night had already left a sour taste in our mouth Overall, I would not recommend booking this as a venue as it is very small and...

Had the worst experience with Barrio Soho, ruined my birthday and were incredibly rude too. Every year for my birthday I celebrate with my friends at various cocktail bars around London, and have never had a problem so far - normally everyone is super nice and hospitable. I called up Barrio Soho quite far in advance and specifically requested a table DOWNSTAIRS, where the dancefloor was, also asking if the dancefloor was open. They said of course, the dance floor would be open and that we could have a table downstairs. When we got there on the Monday that we booked, they told me that actually the downstairs was closed on Mondays and there was nothing they could do - meaning they lied on the phone to me. If I had known it was closed, I would have booked somewhere else, so I find this extremely deceiving and rude. Instead of being even slightly apologetic, from that moment on they were incredibly rude and hostile. My friends and I originally let it all pass, figuring we weren't going to put up a fuss and instead just sit down and have some drinks. They continued to be extremely rude, especially the woman at the bar, who constantly snapped at us and made sarcastic comments about our drink choices. In the end, we decided to just go somewhere else. Overall the whole experience really ruined my birthday party, made me and my friends unnecessarily upset. The rudeness and lying was just unnecessary. A shame, because their cocktails are nice, but all in all their attitude...

Avoid this place at all costs!!!! Me and my friends visited Barrio Soho to celebrate a birthday. We went there early during the happy hours, expecting to get benefits on drinks, 2 for 1 cocktails, £3 tequila and £5 tacos. We ordered food as well, approximately 10 dishes to share among 8 people. The food was good, but less in quantity, not at all filling. Drinks were decent. We were surprised to see a bill of £301, considering we ordered in the happy hours. When asked if the bill amount is correct, the staff said yes, therefore everyone started paying their share. But then one of us noticed that tacos were charged according to the normal amount and also the service charge was very high. We requested to correct the bill and provide us with a new one. The new bill was £230, but we had already paid around £257 in total, not only they denied paying the refund but also made my friend to pay extra £28 for “pending amount”. At that point we were frustrated to argue with the manager and left. Next day on checking the bill again, tequila was charged according to normal price making a total of £117 of the bill. Not at all happy with this place for charging us normal prices when they have advertised the offers. And literally scamming us of money when the bill showed £230 but made...
