The song selection is very limited and the drinks were ok but we overlooked this because staff was nice and we were having fun. I was however very disappointed towards the end of the night. Having originally booked 11:30-1:30am for my birthday I was called and offered to come in earlier at 10:30, NOT to move my booking earlier as I would have said no since I had already planned and booked my birthday in advance. We left our dinner reservations early to come in at 10:30 and were asked to leave at 12:30am. This was absolutely not what was discussed or agreed and the red head lady and security guard working there lied to my face and said they had a phone call recording of me agreeing to move my slot earlier which they both had listened to apparently. When I approached the reception to ask for the recording I was told no such thing exists, hence clearly staff was using cheap manipulations to rob me of my original booking slot. We even offered to pay for an additional hour as many booths were available and we were told no. Either they wanted to close early and pushed all bookings forward or simply didn’t want our business. The red head lady was incredibly rude and condescending, very aggressive specifically towards my black friends more than anyone else which we found very jarring. There are better karaoke places in london, but our usual spot in Mayfair was fully booked. It’s not a bad venue but staff definitely ruined the mood of the night. Just a warning for all looking to book here if they contact you offering you an additional hour do not accept as it’s just a way for them to change your booking to suit their own needs.
For the venue if any management see’s this I strongly recommend your staff undergo some unconscious bias and diversity training, the way my Black friends were treated and spoken to was completely uncalled for. There is no justifiable reason for the red head member of staff to take a more aggressive approach when talking to them as the matter predominantly concerned me as the booking...
Read moreWorst experience I’ve had in a long time - absolutely disgraceful.
Came in for the dusk deal thinking we’d have a nice night out. Instead, we got publicly humiliated by the manager (tall guy, curly hair, glasses) who clearly had no interest in doing his job with even a shred of decency.
He stood there loudly ranting in front of everyone: “WHY DO WE HAVE THIS DEAL AGAIN? WHO CAME UP WITH THIS STUPID IDEA TO GIVE DRINKS AWAY?” - yelling like a child throwing a tantrum, while customers sat there stunned. If you don’t want to run a promotion, that’s your problem. Don’t take it out on the people who show up expecting to get what you advertised.
Every time he walked past, he was whispering and mocking us to his coworkers like we were the problem — even though we were polite the entire time. The attitude was disgusting, the service was offensive, and honestly, I don’t know how someone like that is even allowed to manage a broom closet, let alone a hospitality venue.
This guy shouldn’t be working in hospitality - he should be as far from people as possible. If management doesn’t get rid of him, this place deserves every 1-star...
Read moreThe most incredible time ever! Thank you Thomas, Ciaran and Phillipo.(sorry if I got any of the names wrong). I have to say that I was sceptical, as I am used to pub karaoke and performing in front of a big crowd. I thought that if we wanted to sing just us we could have just done it with YouTube on in one of our houses. HOWEVER, I was overjoyed with my experience at Lucky Voice. The staff was incredible, the cocktails were DELICIOUS, (Candy cocktail was everyone's favourite) and the experience was like no other. Great-sized room for our party of 5, great selection of songs, options to adjust the light and microphone levels were also very cool! None of us have a lot of money but we splurged on lots of amazing cocktails and when out time slot was coming to an end we decided to extend it as we didn't want to leave yet. I could go on and on about the staff! The place is VERY LGBTQI+ inclusive, we were treated with utmost respect and care. I wish I had more pictures to show you, but we simply did not stop singing and dancing! We can't wait to...
