Be At One - Richmond — Restaurant in London

Ok so here is why my review is so low. Arrived Saturday with a friend. Both female and neither of us had been out in nearly 2 years I had been in the bar for maybe 45-1hr and had 1 double rum and cokes and My friend 1 double gin tonic. The man behind the bar refused point blank on our second round to Not serve me anymore drink telling me I had way to much to drink already and to hv water I was mortified we just came from zizzi restaurant from dinner and only had 4 hrs to hv fun ' babysitters at home ' 2hr of which was taken up eating. So in shock of the situation I asked him to explain himself. Which he didn't. and asked for the manager which he refused he said ive decided to not serve you simple. and I'm not getting manager. I said to him ive had 1 drink and We are standing quiet. Doing nothing apart from chatting with each other so why can't we get a drink? Yet over the otherside near door were a group of about 8-10 lads downing shots and standing on tables and seats yelling and being a nussence consistently bring served alchole. not to mention 4 lads getting on our case and harrasing us threatwning us and bragging that they put rohipnol in our drink etc I complained about theses guys not one member of staff did a thing in the end I told em I was calling police and within mins they scurried off. Even after explaing my experience and being upset he bar man still refused me. blanked me and was arrogant not giving me any explanation but to stand at the bar with no drink ignoring me I felt embarrassed and humiliated. So as we was given 1 glass of water mecand my friend shared the 1 glass of water he placed on side and guess what he still refused us. So im very disappointed at this behaviour. And the lack of help from the club . It really upset me alot and unless you can explain why this behavior is acceptable and actually give me a reason why I was treated this way. my review will remain at 2 star and word of mouth for the club will not change . Word of mouth is currently not safe environment for you women harrasment from drug dealers and poss dangerous men. Extreemly rude bar staff 1 of which don't seem to like women having fun. This is a great hideaway on the edge of Richmond but really a bar of two halves. Before around 11pm it is a quiet drinking den where you can easily have a conversation with some pretty chill music playing in the background.

Their drinks are superb; as well as their own menu you can also order the classics off the menu. If you want a Silent Pool martini mixed 3:1 with a couple of dashes of orange bitters, not a problem. They also do a great Manhattan with Bullet and Cocchi (one of my favourite red vermouths).

All are the staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. On my first visit I was served impeccably by Tina who not only mixes great drinks but is super friendly and engaging.

Come 11pm things change. As it is one of the few bars in Richmond with a late licence, it all kicks off as everyone piles out of the pubs to get one-for-the-road. The music amps up and for the final hour it's a last-hurrah party bar.

If you want a really well made cocktail then I highly recommend coming to Be At One in Richmond where Charlie and Tina make the nicest cocktails my friends and I have tasted in a long time. No watered down alcohol here !!! A few months ago Charlie made my favourite Long Island Iced Tea and I added a shot of Tequila as Be At One’s version doesn’t have Tequila in it. It was amazing and as it was Happy Hour I had another with the 2-4-1 cocktail offer. Monday night’s are £5 for Margaritas so I had one of those too. I always ask Charlie to make my Long Island Iced Tea now as he makes them perfectly. Tina made my friend’s cocktails and they were excellent too.
