My partner and I attended 16/07/2023 we didn’t realise how many flies were above our heads in the restaurant, they were on the ceiling inside the globe lights just above our heads. They were flying around us and even went into our food. We did speak to the lady serving us and she replied there was nothing they could do I did ask them to close the huge windows which they did sometime later as the restaurant was closing. We explained to the server we left some of the food due to a flies landing in our food, we were then spoken to another staff member with the bill who was extremely rude, her name is Jasmine and her mannerism towards us was absolutely unacceptable telling we should have known before we ordered the food their were flies, we only came to realise the restaurant was covered with flies after our food arrived. In order to try resolve the issue we asked the server to turn the light off, this still did not make a difference. We again stressed the issues of how many flies there are in the restaurant. The lady who was rude and abrupt with us continued to say we should have ate somewhere else if this is what Peir 1 refers to as good customer service from staff I am appalled. We settled the bill in full and told the staff to keep the change, good service would have been removing the items left on the table with flies on them to be minus from the bill instead we were told we should have gone somewhere else. I have never received such poor service at a restaurant and would not recommend anyone to eat at this restaurant, there are many good restaurants in Richmond with good customer service. Read moreMy recent experience at the restaurant was incredibly disappointing. Despite being a regular customer who had always been satisfied with the service in the past, my visit today was marred by the unprofessionalism and rudeness of the waitstaff, specifically Skylate and Brook.
From the moment we entered the restaurant, it was evident that Skylate and Brook had no interest in providing us with even basic service. Despite our attempts to flag them down for assistance, they seemed disinterested and indifferent to our needs. I had to repeatedly approach the kitchen myself to request essentials like tap water and straws.
Even more concerning was their lack of attention to hygiene and safety. There was a broken dish under our table which posed a hazard, yet they failed to notice it until I brought it to their attention. Furthermore, they neglected to clean our table after we finished our meal.
Their refusal to honor a part of the kids menu deal, specifically the ice cream, was the final straw. When I politely requested to speak with the manager to address these issues, they claimed the manager was unavailable and offered feeble excuses for their subpar service.

Read moreWe have been a very loyal and long standing customer of this restaurant. However what we experienced today was TOTALLY WRONG AND UNACCEPTABLE!! So we ordered takeaway using prices from the online menu on their website. At the time of payment, the prices were completely different (apparently the price list was updated a year ago as per staff member) from the ones on their website. I was being charged more as there was a discrepancy between the 2 price lists. When I asked the member of staff re prices, he totally ignored the online prices (ON THEIR WEBSITE) and charged me the increased price stating that he cannot change the prices on their till. I then asked to speak to the manager and his excuse was that the person who is supposed to update the price list hasn’t done her job!!!! Still don’t see how this is the customer’s problem if you cant run your management efficiently. Instead of apologising, the manager was UTMOST RUDE and said we don’t have to buy the food from his shop and to go elsewhere!! I have never experienced such PATHETIC AND UNPROFESSIONAL service.
