Bella Donna — Restaurant in London

We wanted to try this restaurant as it was within walking distance from where we live. We arrived early, unbooked, but were given a table for two. The service throughout the meal was excellent, as was the Merlot. We had calamari for starter, but we had to return it as it was like old rubber bands (VERY chewy). We also had the garlic bread, which needed MORE garlic & salt. Our mains were not much better. My spag bol was ok, but lacked any flavour. My partner had the lobster ravioli special, which she said tasted odd. We both had dessert's which were ok. I have never had an Italian meal where it was this poor. Visited on 31/01/2025 for the joint birthday of my mum and niece.

We were greeted with such warmth and enthusiasm, you knew instantly you were going to be taken care of.

Our server was extremely friendly and she made sure that our every need was tended to.

The prices for food is more than reasonable, the portions are huge, and the taste? Bellissimo!

Thank you for making my mum and niece feel like a Queen and princess on their birthdays. It was nice place to have a family gathering.

The lamb shank and the sea bass was AMAZING - (there was so much on the plate I was able to share and sample something else)

I visited this restaurant recently and it seems like it may be under new ownership. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The service was very slow — the waiter was also acting as the bartender and seemed to be handling the entire restaurant on his own. It took quite a while to place our food order and get drinks. The food itself wasn't great. While the portion sizes were generous, the quality was lacking. The sauce tasted store-bought, and both the onions and meat were undercooked.
