Metronome is our local and we couldn’t be more happy about that! I always have a lovely experience, the staff (especially Tom) are very friendly and chatty and always make us feel welcome. The coffee and matcha is always perfect, made swiftly and tastes beautiful every time. They also offer a few gluten free cake/pastry options which are 10/10. I highly recommend the lemon and raspberry gluten free slice (I get this every time!). They do wine/cocktail evenings… absolutely amazing!! They have a large selection of drinks and you can tell that they are carefully selected. The lambrusco is my favourite but they also make amazing espresso martinis (decaf available) and aperol spritz. The atmosphere is always stunning with good music and a chill/chatty environment. Love EVERYTHING about this place. Not just the beautiful green tiles , the free water top up station, the name and branding, the stunning interior with pieces from local artists, the live music events, the lovely staff and all the little touches like the branded crockery and little chocolate treats.... I love what this coffee shop stands for - accessibility, equal opportunity and supporting local culture. And if that wasn't enough the food and cakes are delicious (with vegan options and beautifully served on slate palettes) and the coffee is awesome plus the best hot chocolate my kids have ever had (and they're a tough crowd).
