I recently discovered this delightful Korean fast food spot just after my gym session, and let me tell you, it's become my new favorite haunt for refueling.
First off, the star of the show is the chicken Sweet Chili mixed with Katsu with Rice. The combination is nothing short of genius. The katsu, with its crispy, golden exterior and tender, juicy interior, pairs perfectly with the sweet and slightly spicy chili sauce. It's a dance of flavors where the sweetness of the chili complements the savory katsu, all harmoniously mixed with fluffy, perfectly cooked rice. It's like a warm hug for your taste buds after a tough workout.
But the culinary delights don't stop there. The Seaweed Salad is a revelation - fresh, crisp, and vibrantly green, it's evident that the ingredients are as fresh as they come. The seaweed isn't just an afterthought; it's prepared with care, providing a delightful crunch and a burst of umami that balances out the richness of the katsu.
Now, let’s talk about the service. The woman behind the counter is nothing short of an angel. Her kindness radiates through her smile, making you feel welcome and appreciated. She remembers your order, even if it's only your second visit, and her genuine interactions make you feel like you're part of a community rather than just another customer in a fast-food joint.
In summary, this place isn't just about satisfying hunger; it's about experiencing food that feels like care in every bite. The sweet chili katsu with rice, the fresh seaweed salad, combined with the heartwarming service, make this spot a must-visit after any workout or anytime you're craving authentic, comforting Korean flavors. If you are craving for some spicy food, highly recommend the pork bulgogi rice however it doesn’t seem to be on the menu. The pork is well marinated, cut in slices. It goes really well with the rice. The portion is good for London’s standard. At least I left the restaurant with a happy stomach.
The chicken bulgogi is with lots of onions and spring onions, not my choice but my partner said it is good.
They also serve dumplings, noodles, fried chicken, rice rolls there. By the counter, you can purchase some Korean...
Read moreI'm really not sure why this place is rated this highly. I travel to Korea frequently and the food here doesn't taste anything like it's supposed to.
The bulgogi is tasteless, both in the bento box and in the kimbap. The kimchi has a weird taste to it, like it's about to go bad or something. They give you some fried chicken in the bento box which is basically sugar & fat with barely any meat, as well as a fried dumpling and spring roll which I suspect are both frozen.
I love Korean food & would love for this place to be good - given the large Asian community in the area, I'd assume the reviews would be accurate but they're really not. This tastes like your typical UK Chinese takeaway, but Korean version - realistic rating...
