My partner and I stayed at TRIBE in July 2025 in their TRIBE EXTRA room. We would definitely recommend the hotel for solo travellers or for couples. While there are a few details that we believe would make this hotel a 5-star hotel that currently the hotel lacks, it is still an awesome option just outside of Central London, in an accessible and safe area. ||Proximity / Location|TRIBE is located in Canary Wharf. The commute was approximately 30 minutes from Heathrow Airport, and was directly accessible from the Airport via the Elizabeth Line. This made commuting to and from the Airport super simple. The hotel was within walking distance of both the London Underground (Jubilee Line) and the Elizabeth Line stations, making commuting into Central London and any tourist sites easy. It is important to note that the Underground and the Elizabeth Line both shut down late each evening, so plan to either be back into Canary Wharf before then, or to be able to Uber/Taxi/Bus into the area. That being said, if you are looking to be somewhere central to all of the major tourist attractions in London, this hotel may be outside of your range. While accessible via transit, we found that each day we allotted approximately 30-40 minutes simply to getting to and from Central London from Canary Wharf. Not a major issue, just something to note. ||Canary Wharf appears to be more a business/financial district than a tourist location. We found that the area seemed to go to sleep around 10:00pm, and was very quiet, especially on weekdays. The area appears quite safe, and is monitored by security throughout. Never once did we feel uncomfortable or worried about our surroundings while in the Canary Wharf area. There are several bars and restaurants that are in the area that locals seem to frequent on the weekends. We had dinner at Dishoom and Emilia’s. Both were amazing and we would definitely recommend trying both out, but especially Dishoom. ||Check in + Check Out Policy|The hotel’s policy is 11:00am check-out, and 3:00pm check-in. Our flight landed early in the morning on July 10th, and upon arrival at the hotel we had asked if early check in was available. We were informed that our room was prepared, however, if we would like to check in earlier than the hotel’s standard 3:00pm check-in time, we would have to pay £10 per hour. Such policy applies to both early check-in and late check-out requests. We were a bit disappointed at this policy, as while it is understandable that the hotel may need the allotted time between checkout and check-in of patrons, being informed that the room was ready but we would have to be squeezed for a few extra $$ to get it was offputting. The staff, however, were kind enough to hold our bags at the hotel so we could venture off to explore the city, which was very nice. We would recommend taking a photo of your luggage to aid staff in finding it, as it did take some time for ours to be located. That being said, if you are arriving early in the morning, plan accordingly and be aware of such a policy. ||The Room (TRIBE EXTRA)|We opted for the TRIBE EXTRA room, and would definitely recommend it. The dimensions of the room are clearly listed, and while a bit tight, we had no issue moving around the room while accessing both of our suitcases simultaneously. While we cannot speak to the size of the other rooms in the hotel, we can comfortably say our room worked for us. ||The hotel seeks to “include everything you need and nothing you don’t.” The room contained a king sized bed (felt more like a queen but that may just be a difference between North American sizing and European/UK sizing). The bed was comfortable and we were both able to get a great night's sleep every night. The air-conditioning was perfect and kept the room ice cold, so if you are searching up and down travel sites for a place with good AC, this is your place. The room was well sound proofed and we never heard the neighbouring rooms or any noise from the hallway. The room was also fitted with both sheer and black-out curtains which worked marvelously to keep the city lights out. The bathroom is outfitted with Kevin Murphy amenities, and a rainfall shower. The room was cleanly, cleaned daily, and fresh towels were provided each day if requested, and if not, every three days. You are also provided with an in-room Nespresso machine with pods that are re-stocked daily, which was a very nice touch.||While the goal seems to be to provide all the essentials, there seems to be a few things missing that we felt would have rounded out the room to be perfectly fit with everything any traveller may need. Firstly, a mini-fridge. The room does contain a decanter of still water that is refilled daily, but coming back to a mini-fridge stocked with cold bottled water—especially on the hot summer days—would have been wonderful. We made daily trips each evening to the Amazon Fresh across the street to purchase cold bottled water. From our experience travelling, a mini-fridge in the room is one of the “essential” hotel room items that was evidently missing and we definitely think it is something that should be considered moving forward. It would also help travellers reduce their own carbon footprint by not having to opt to purchase a new bottle of water daily, or for those who may need to refrigerate medications or other life essentials. Secondly, additional closet space or drawers. The lack thereof of the aforementioned forced us to live out of our suitcases. While there were a few hangers available, there was simply not enough room for one traveller, let alone two, to unpack and settle into the room. In our opinion, some sort of dresser/additional closet nook should be looked into. ||Breakfast|We opted to pay into having breakfast included with our stay and would 1000% recommend doing so. The breakfast is provided by “Feels Like June,” a restaurant that shares the lobby space with the hotel. We found that most days we would be foregoing lunch on account of us still being full from having a satiating breakfast each morning. While there was nothing special or spectacular to write home about with the breakfast, we each found something each day that we enjoyed, and would definitely say that you get “your bang for your buck” by opting into the breakfast plan.. We would suggest going earlier in the morning, especially on weekends, as the restaurant does welcome in non-hotel guests, and seating may become scarce. ||Overall|In summary, TRIBE delivered a cost-friendly, safe, clean, comfortable stay for the two of us during our visit. We would definitely recommend the hotel, and believe with a few minor additions to the room, the hotel would be worthy of a 5-star review. If we were to return to London, we would definitely consider a subsequent stay...

Read moreThe hotel made an excellent first impression. Upon entering the building, we were greeted by a cool, welcoming environment with plenty of seating in both the lobby and the restaurant. There is a lot elevators, so getting to and from our room was quick and hassle-free. The staff were prompt and responsive, and the cleaning service did an exceptional job keeping our room nice.
The room itself was well-appointed, featuring high-quality hair and body products. The Kevin Murphy products provided were such a pleasant surprise that we ended up using them instead of the ones we had brought with us. The shower was also fantastic—modern and refreshing.
What truly stood out was the overall ambiance of the hotel and its location. Being in Canary Wharf was a breathtaking experience, both during the day and at night. The stunning cityscape made our trip even more memorable. After long days of exploring, it felt amazing to return to such a cool environment.
The area around the hotel was vibrant and full of things to do. Supermarkets were conveniently nearby, and there is a lot of excellent restaurants to choose from. While we didn’t have time to explore the various activities available, it was exciting just to see the lively surroundings.
The in-room entertainment was another nice touch. For example, we noticed the new Deadpool movie available for rent, though you have to pay extra to watch it.
The hotel also offers discounts to nearby restaurants, which added an extra layer of value to our stay.
There were, however, a few areas that could be improved. Our room didn’t have a mini fridge, which made keeping our water cool a bit challenging.
Power outlet capabilities. As European travelers, we couldn’t connect our charges to the socket. Also the room only had USB-A which also didn’t for for us since we had USB-C. Fortunately, you can ask the receptionist for an adapter, but it’s worth noting in advance as it would be nice to have without asking for it.
We also wish the room had a toilet brush, as it would have been more convenient for us to be able to...
