Pleasant atmosphere and the lighting makes for good ambience. It was quite the busy evening at our 8pm booking, consequently it did take 10mins to get seated at a table. Honestly, we were not too comfortable with this. And although we got a nice table right by an open glass door, this was constantly being used with people walking in and out quite close to our table. But in all fairness, there isn't much space to work with and you need to fit in as many tables as feasibly and safely as possible, so no complaints here. The service was decent despite the restaurant being busy. Slight confusion between the waiters in the beginning but this was quickly sorted out by the manager, kudos to him. Otherwise, to the food. Starters: 🍤 Gamberi Al Limone - unfortunately, there was nothing special about the King prawns; the lemon butter sauce was a nice addition but the prawns were slightly undercooked. Only had half on one prawn. Good presentation though. 🦑 Calamari Fritti - just had to see what the fuss in the other reviews were about. And as expected, the calamari was spectacular, the lemon & tartar sauce give it that authentic Mediterranean feel. The experienced palate can indeed spot the freshness of this dish, it was also the right level of tenderness. Nicely done. I'd recommend this. 🥖🧀 Foccacia Mozzarella - not entirely sure why this costs a quid more than the Foccacia Rosmarino but it sure tasted like it was kneaded by hand and the love flowed deliciously through this bread 😋 Foccacia is apparently one of the first things you bake in culinary school, so it is great to see that the chef has retained a simple dish from his "cooking 101" and truly evolved it to what it is now. I'd recommend this. And now for 'la pièce de résistance'... 🥂🐟 Prosecco Al Salmone - when you put prosecco in the name, it better be special and this dish was exactly that. Fresh Salmon, carefully filleted, skin nicely scored, lightly seasoned and pan seared to crispy perfection. The pink peppercorn & prosecco sauce just took it to the next level, and I will not forget the spinach which helped balance everything. I was glad not to see potatoes or asparagus in this dish because potatoes would be too filling and would not allow you to truly enjoy your Salmon. And asparagus would be too mainstream. I also tired the Apollo pizza - roughly an 11 inch wood fired pizza which is decent. The chicken was thankfully not dry and the truffle oil was a nice touch. I'm normally critical of pizza base but this one was decent. This wasn't my mains and I only had a slice after my food. Was too full to really enjoy this, so maybe next time. The last thing, which I hadn't the space to try was the 'Spigola Alla Griglia' - grilled whole sea bass (you just love to see a whole fish on your plate). Served with asparagus, fried cherry tomatoes & lemon dressing. Overall, nice food. Didn't start out great with the disappointing King prawns but the Salmon ended it on a high note.

An outstanding experience from start to finish at Capeesh My recent visit to Capeesh Bar and Restaurant in Canary Wharf was absolutely fantastic. Everything, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, was simply exceptional. It's safe to say that this is one of the best Italian dining experiences you can have in London, and I will definitely be returning. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of modern elegance and welcoming warmth. The chic decor features contemporary lighting and stylish, comfortable furniture, creating a vibrant yet intimate space. We were a large group of 12 and had a fantastic table, with the restaurant offering plenty of great options for both inside dining and outside on the lovely terrace. It's a versatile space perfect for any occasion. The food was beyond delicious, with each dish being a standout. The menu offers a great choice for all tastes, and the generous portion sizes mean you certainly won't leave hungry. Our table enjoyed a variety of dishes, and everyone raved about the quality, freshness, and authentic Italian flavours. The restaurant's commitment to using quality ingredients really shines through. To complement our meal, we took full advantage of the excellent 2-for-1 cocktail offer. The cocktails were perfectly mixed and a delightful addition to an already superb afternoon/evening. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the impeccable service from our waiter, Kumar. He was outstanding throughout the afternoon, effortlessly looking after our large table of 12 with a positive attitude and without any issues. He was consistently attentive, friendly, and always there when we needed something. The service was a masterclass in hospitality. For anyone looking for an outstanding meal in a beautiful setting with an exceptional team, look no further. I strongly recommend Capeesh Bar and Restaurant and look forward to my next visit!

Generous portion sized food. We ordered a gameri al limone, margherita pizza, spaghetti bolognese, linguine mare, insalata mista, and a chicken ceasar salad. All well cooked and tasty. Chefs/kitchen staff obviously had talent.

What let the restaurant down was the ambience and service. Place was decorated for halloween with waiting staff all with painted halloween faces .. strange for an italian restaurant.

We were sat down and given menus but then basically ignored for a loooong time. In most restaurants, drinks would have been taken first. No eye contact from any staff when we were looking to place our order. For a Saturday night, it wasn't a busy restaurant. Lots of staff, but many were just mucking around chatting or playing with their phones. I had to stick my hand up and wave at them for attention. A friendly waiter took our order. He was actually good. The other members of the staff (esp the head waitress?) all seemed to either be miserable and/or have tunnel vision, quite rude basically blanking our table and seemingly not really wanting to work. We started to wonder if we had done something wrong?!

One particular waitress was very miserable looking. No smile at all when giving us our food. Really seemed to hate her job and did not want to be there! When it came to leaving, there was no acknowledgement from any staff. I said thank you to the head waitress? .. i was blanked. Most restaurant staff would say thank you for coming, did you enjoy your meal? Thank you, goodbye. ....here...nothing. Staff walked past seeing we were going..no acknowledgement whatsoever. None from bar staff either. It's almost like. You've eaten, you've paid, now get out!

When people dine out, yes, the food is the most important aspect, but service is part of the dining out experience. The food was great at this restaurant, but the staff made me not want to return as there are plenty of other Italian restaurants who serve great food but with great...
