Big Joe's Cafe & Grill — Restaurant in London

Tremendous establishment. Don't be put off by the overly bright lights.

Went on Friday night. Was drawn on by the offer on the door of a whole chicken and chips for ten English pounds. Thought this may be too good to be true but backed it anyhow. Was treated by friendly and accommodating staff. Went up to the till to order nandos style. Had a selection of sauces for the chicken. I went for garlic mayo. When it arrived, I could not believe my eyes. I had never seen that quantity of chicken in a plate before. And when I tucked in, my body was filled with a warm, yet electric feeling of sheer delight. Cooked to perfection with the slight charring giving that smoky flavour we all know and love. The chips were also perfect.

If the lights are dimmed slightly, this place is going to go right to the very top. I'll tell you that for free.

I have since told every man and his dog about this fine establishment. I will be back inside there sooner than you can say Joe Mamma and there ain't nobody who is going to pull me out.

This diner is a hidden gem.

It's very nicely decorated. We went on Sunday, it was extremely hot outside and we were welcomed with a giant air cooler and fan which was a relief

The staff are very hospitable and welcoming.

We ordered at the counter and the food was freshly made, we didn't wait more than 15 minutes for it

We ordered a regular Margherita to share along with our individual meals...hands down the best pizza I've tasted ever and more than enough to fill us up

I am lactose intolerant, I ordered the fruit cooler which is made with milk, they were very accommodating and offered me other options such soya milk or almond milk, I however didn't want that so they blended it with ice and I got a nice thick cold smoothie, and bonus the guy upgraded my drink to large..

I have been to this restaurant before. If I have to compare then to now it has drastically dropped overtime in the two years since it has opened. The staff pick and choose who they will welcome with a smile and greet good bye, Me and my relative certainly won't on that list. The presentation of the plate of food ordered which was the full English breakfast then it was a round plate with a decent portion of food, now they give you an oval plate where they have cut the portion in half and presentation downgraded. It was such a disappointment to what I remember how good this place was. Adding to all this they keep their restaurant doors wide open allowing all the smoke from the smoker area from outside the front of the restaurant to come inside. This caused me such discomfort and I found it...
