We recently had the pleasure of dining at Bill’s in London Bridge, and I can confidently say it was one of the best restaurant experiences we've had in a long time. Our visit came about due to a mix-up at another restaurant, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. From the moment we stepped into Bill’s, we were enveloped in the warm and inviting décor—cozy, eclectic, with a charming mix of rustic and modern touches that set the perfect mood for an enjoyable evening. But what truly set Bill’s apart was the impeccable service, especially from Heni. She was nothing short of exceptional. Not only did she provide personal recommendations from the menu, but she also made sure throughout the evening that we were having a great time. Her attention to detail and genuine care for her customers were evident, and it wasn’t just us. I overheard another diner complimenting the service as well, which speaks volumes about the team’s dedication. Just as we were about to leave, the General Manager, Zita, came over to check on us. Her warmth and friendliness made us feel like we were chatting with an old friend. She, too, was fantastic—making sure our experience had been nothing short of excellent. To Bill’s management, you are incredibly fortunate to have Heni and Zita on your team. They should absolutely be recognized through any internal staff recognition programs you have. In fact, they could teach a masterclass in customer service—they are that good! If you find yourself in the London Bridge area, do yourself a favor and visit Bill’s. You won’t regret it!

This branch is located in the busy area by Borough Market, so would suggest making a reservations. It’s nicely situated on a corner with a few tables outside. Was here on a bottomless pancake deal which has 2 choices only, with fruit or biscoff pancake. We tried the GF pancake with fruit, not keen as it’s pretty dense and could do with more fruit and maybe some fruit compote/clotted cream. Biscoff one comes with a scoop of ice cream and a load of crumbled biscoff and quite sweet. Both are nicely paired. We also ordered bottomless hot drinks. Both were very good deals. However, there is a time limited of 90mins. Unfortunately, they were lacking in staff and took ages to get the pancakes and drinks to our table. My friend received her drink quite soon but mine came after I had eaten my first set of pancake. We were told there was only 1 staff dealing with hot drinks. Saw 2 Waitress taking orders, 1 delivering food and 1 at the front reception. It’s not a very small restaurant but still needs more staff. With such deals on offer, management should expect it to be busy and organise enough staff to cover the busy hours. I feel sorry for staff having to deal with being chased for food. They did well and maintained good customer service. The toilets also needs to be cleaned more often especially the one with baby changing facility. I certainly would not bring my baby here. On the other hand, other food being served looked lovely. We liked the elderflower and rose tea and matcha coconut latte.

I'm a regular at Bill's all around the country, and this was the last for me to visit, I won't call again. The member of staff taking the order failed to take the correct order so when the food arrived both myself and colleague had the same meal which wasn't what we ordered. We agreed to have the second burger as neither of us wished to see waste. The food was OK, but I've had better in Bill's (especially Spinningfield). While eating, we were constantly bombarded by small black flies (fungus flies), which made the experience unpleasant. When it came to paying for the meal the manager said he was removing one of the burgers due to the mix up, but on looking at the bill after paying, it's clear he didn't, nor did he discount the meal or worse still remove the service charge (added for what, messing up an order). All in all the experience wasn't great and this is one Bill's I'll avoid next time I'm in this part of London.

This restaurant is, quite frankly, a masterclass in illusion. It is a triumph of style over substance. It may falsely dazzle the unsuspecting on social media with seemingly affordable prices and photogenic pancakes, but don’t be fooled by this façade. Behind the Instagrammable disguise lies a reality which is best described as culinary catfishing. Firstly the water (still water) that we were tricked into paying £4.40 for what I can only assume was bottled from the tears of other disappointed customers. No warning, no price on the menu—just a casually offered bottle proceeded by an ambush on the bill. Honestly, if I had known I was about to invest in a small hydroelectric project, I would’ve brought my own bottle. The food was a tragedy. My pancakes arrived dry, cold, and paired with rock solid bacon. My boyfriend, ordered what the menu made out to be a luxurious brunch classic. In reality, it was giving more “Wetherspoons at closing time” than five-star dining. Overcooked eggs, limp presentation, and disappointment served piping hot (unlike the actual food). The flatbread we ordered on the side was cold, flavourless, and possibly made from cardboard. It was a true culinary mystery. The service was an immersive exercise in patience. Upon asking for the bill, our waitress appeared to be on her own existential journey, meandering and daydreaming, and clearly in no rush to do her job. To top it off, she joked about my boyfriend sprinting to the toilet, which—while hilarious to me—was probably embarrassing and a feeble attempt to make up for the substandard service . Comedy gold, service barely bronze. Then came the real punchline which was a 20% service charge. They really had the audacity to capitalise on our £4.40 water trauma by adding a charge that brought the total to a completely undeserved £40. That’s five quid for a service level that barely exceeded acknowledging our existence. To their credit, and rather begrudgingly, the interior design was lovely. Tastefully decorated, yet of a vibe that promised far more than the experience delivers. It’s the equivalent of serving a pot noodle on fine china and calling it haute cuisine- except i might have preferred that. Safe to say, we won’t be returning. I’d sooner host brunch in a motorway service station. Save your money, your time, and your dignity and don’t...

Dear Henriett,

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the absolutely incredible service you provided during my recent visit to the Victoria Wharf location of Clink Street Bills. I was blown away by your attentiveness and the care you put into ensuring that our dinner for two was absolutely perfect.

From the moment we walked in the door, I knew we were in good hands. Your warm and welcoming demeanor put us both at ease, and we knew that we were going to have a truly special evening. As we were seated at our table, you took the time to explain the menu to us and made some excellent recommendations based on our preferences.

Throughout the evening, you were always one step ahead, making sure that our drinks were topped up and checking in with us to ensure that everything was to our liking. Your attention to detail and your commitment to providing outstanding service were truly impressive.

The food itself was absolutely delicious, and we both appreciated the care that was taken in its preparation. From the perfectly cooked steak to the decadent chocolate dessert, every dish was spot-on and fabulous. We left feeling completely satisfied and eager to return again soon.

But what really made our evening so memorable was the exceptional service that you provided. Your attention to detail, your warm and friendly manner, and your commitment to ensuring that we had a truly unforgettable experience were all truly appreciated.

Thank you so much for all that you did to make our evening so special. We could not have asked for a better server, and we are so grateful for your hard work and dedication. You truly went above and beyond, and we are so thankful for all that you did.

In closing, I just want to reiterate how truly grateful we are for your outstanding service. You are a true credit to the Victoria Wharf location of Clink Street Bills, and we are so fortunate to have had you as our server. Thank you once again for everything you did, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
