Received a great service from arriving until we left. We came 10min before the kitchen got closed and we couldn't sit outside as they've stopped servicing outdoor. But the guy was kindly enough to check with the manger. The manger was very apologetic but the only thing he could do if we wanted to sit outside was that we paid for the bill straight away. Didn't seem a lot to demand 🤣 so we agreed. We ordered the food and paid the bill, and we waited didn't wait that long for the food. . ---- apparently there had been changes to the menu and before you were only available to order the side dishes separately, however , now the separate dishes was in one and it was good decent size. Great location and 10min walking to the train station or few minutes to get the bus. Staff was brilliant and accommodating with request to sit outside even though they were closing and everything The only thing that really bugged me was the table was a bit wobbly. The manger sort of fixed it but still loose. That's the situation when you sit outside next to the road. Lol . Food was amazing and glad they've redon some items on the menu.

My fiancé and I found this place on a whim and decided to check it out. We were absolutely blown away by the friendly and quick service. I highly request anyone to get seated in server Antonio’s area. He was quick, friendly, cleaned our table right there for us, overall great guy. 11/10. The food itself was immaculate. I got the sea bass and the pumpkin pie for dessert. The sea bass was perfectly crispy and the inside was soft and perfect. The couscous it came with and the tomato sauce was lovely~. I did add some salt to the fish but it’s not required. Now that pumpkin pie was the best pumpkin pie I’ve ever had like.. ever. It’s an autumn special so come get it before it’s gone!! If you’re in the Richmond area, I really recommend this place!!

I recently dined at Bill’s after a busy day around Richmond. We did not have a reservation and they offered us a table, which we appreciated considering that the place was pretty busy and they had several reservations on the books. The service was commendable, with attentive waitstaff who were quick to take our orders and ensure that our dining experience was enjoyable. We ordered halloumi as starter, which positively surprised us even though it was not as we expected. The sauce that came with the halloumi fries were tasty and a good surprise. The major issue we encountered was that one of our orders was mixed up. As mains we asked for paneer with spinach and lentils and the vegan burger, when the food came we realised that instead of paneer the dish had vegan chicken in it. We did not flag this to the staff because we were hungry and did not want to wait for a new dish. We believe that they run out of paneer so they added the vegan chicken (which was an option in the menu to make the dish vegan) - I would not have minded if they had asked me if I could take the vegan chicken but what disappointed me is that they changed it without asking. In conclusion, Bill’s offers decent food with a pleasant atmosphere and commendable service. While it may be worth a visit for the ambiance and friendly service, diners should temper their expectations when it comes to the culinary experience.

Went with my parents a few weeks back for breakfast, it wasn't particularly busy. One of us ordered Bill's Big Brunch, just as we started we realised there was no black pudding as advertised. I checked with the server that we had ordered the Big Brunch and she said yes, I then asked about the missing black pudding. After she'd asked the kitchen, she came back to tell me, not particularly apologetically, that they had ran out that morning and was waiting for delivery then started walking off (?!) I asked her what they normally do to compensate, she stuttered and was like 'er I can give you extra beans or tomatoes', I said no we don't want extra beans or tomatoes and she just walked off. Issues I have are: 1) No effort was made to inform there was something missing, and when it was brought up, the server was dismissive at best 2) I don't think beans or tomatoes is a satisfactory replacement for a meat product 3) I declined the offer of the lacklustre replacement and she made no effort to compensate for the restaurant's oversight, don't even think we got a half-hearted sorry. I ended up paying full price (and service charge) for this privilege Not impressed at all, will not be back.

I wanted to visit Richmond because I wanted to walk through the life of Ted Lasso. But you know whatever the real star of the show was this restaurant and our server Nelly. She was absolutely incredible. She handled my 5 year old with a smile and took care of his odd demands with 0 issue. She made him feel amazing and made our entire evening. Drinks were amazing. The deserts we had were absolutely one of the best I’ve had. Not only that, my cousin spilled her drink by accident and without any fuss they replaced her drink. We only came for desert and drinks and it was the highlight of our trip to Richmond. Highly recommend this place!!

Bills has a amazing atmosphere. They had spectacular service from the staff. We got in and we’re seated immediately. We had the perfect amount of time to find what we wanted and staff came to take our order. I personally got the stacked pancakes with bacon. My mates got the same and the smashed avocado of sourdough toast. With that we had gotten Bills pot of tea and the mocha. I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food for the price I paid. Overall Bills is a restaurant I would recommend to anyone anywhere. I would love to come back here.
