Blue Bengal — Restaurant in London

A lovely clean nicely decorated restaurant (with clean toilets)excellent well cooked and nicely presented tasty food served quickly by friendly polite staff and very reasonably priced,I booked a table in advance so we didn't have to wait to be seated,I would have liked to have given it 5 stars but the couple of negative things I found about this restaurant was the cramped table and space they gave us....we couldn't move.... there was 3 of us and I do think that the table was meant more for 2 people??? the dishes we ordered wouldn't fit on the table and my husband had to put a couple of dishes on a very small area of spare seat next to him!!!!!!!! Also we felt rather rushed with our meal as it was busy and we felt pressured, as I think they needed the table for other diners waiting to eat??They were very quick in wanting to take dishes away that we hadn't finished with!!!and this is the only restaurant I have ever been to that has brought us the bill without having to ask for it....we would rather have liked to have had another drink after our meal was finished but we didn't get the chance to.It almost felt like...."you've had your meal now pay and go".....shame...as it rather spoilt the evening for us...as we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and our son had joined us too. I would recommend The Blue Bengal and I would go there again as we enjoyed the food but hopefully we might be seated better next time and not feel...

I have nothing but 5 stars to give to this restaurant. I would give it a 10/10 if there was the option.

This restaurant is an absolute god send to the Carshalton area.

The best Indian in Carshalton and surrounding areas of Wallington, Sutton etc.

I have lived in Carshalton for 12 years and I can honestly tell you, I have tried them all and I absolutely really do mean this.

But nowhere and I mean absolutely nowhere can beat this place.

I visited this evening to collect a takeaway and the place was absolutely packed with no tables spare. Thank god for takeaways😂😂

The staff are always very professional and very welcoming at the same time.

The best chicken tikka Madras, the best Bombay Potato, the best papadums with onion salad as well as Nan...

Not vegetarian friendly, the vegetable curry had no flavour at all. Basically tomato sauce and frozen vegetables, no curry flavour or heat resembling a curry. They did give me chillis to spice it up, but it just burned my tongue. The paneer was a block of rubbery tasteless cheese, no flavour whatsoever, mushroom rice had tiny bits of mushroom much less flavourful. Had eaten there multiple times in the past and it has completely gone downhill, I assume they’ve changed the chef. Never going back again. My wife enjoyed the chicken though, because it was bland and very much to her tastes.

P.S. My son and daughter’s food was awful as well, chicken was bland, nothing tasted like a curry. Might as well have been eating in an Italian restaurant. The only part resembling a curry decently was the poppadoms. The taste of India must have left the building because of the...
