Il Laghetto — Restaurant in London

PLEASE BE CAREFUL EATING HERE YOU COULD BE FOOD POISONED BY THEIR FOOD!

Terrible experience. There were 5 of us. Two of us had the seafood linguine. It was served with the mussel shells being cold to the touch (not Luke warm ). As it is sea food we were concerned it was not cooked properly and could cause food poisoning!

We spoke to our waitress who took it back to kitchen and bought it back. It had been microwaved, the inside of the mussels were hot but the shells were still cold

We asked for a replacement dish and we're told that the kitchen was unable to do so for at least half an hour. We then asked to speak to the manager. We were told that the chef was the owner and would come see us in a minute.

As he still hadn't come to see us 20 minutes later, we paid for the 3 people who did have a meal and left

It was an awful experience, the food was mediocre, the 2 waiting staff were inexperienced, scared and one of them was unable to communicate effectively due to English not being their main language. The owner/chef didn't care that he was providing food that could poison customers.

If I could have given this restaurant zero or minus numbers...

I finally got to check this restaurant out with some friends, and as far as quality and value goes it was very good indeed! I went for the antipasto misto to start and it had a bit of everything that I like (see pics). I love cured meats, cheeses and olives, so it was a nice little tatser to get me in the mood for my main course which was the Bresaola pizza! The dough was light, crispy and a little bit doughy which I didn't mind. The toppings were generous, the bresaola (cured beef) sliced nice and thin, along with the cherry tomatoes and the rest was a nice combination. Service was friendly and not too invasive. Will definitely go there again for a pizza and would recommend it if you're in the area. 4 stars as it's hard to beat when you're used to living in Italy and having a certain...

We came here for a friends birthday, what a little gem in our local high street, I always thought it was just a takeaway, it has a lovely atmosphere and busy for a small place, staff were very attentive and so friendly. We had pre-ordered our food as there was 12 in our group, starters were delivered and consumed and we all enjoyed those and eagerly awaited our main courses and weren’t disappointed, big portions of tasty food. Our bill was covered by our host so I can’t say about the cost but for my partner and I for a starter and main course each and with 2 sides was approximately £50 - so reasonable.
