One star (Products): Ice cream, generally very nice being from Marshfield farm, it's good where ever it is. I didn't see any gelato (i.e Italian ice cream) as stated on the facebook page.
Missing star (Products): Coffee, either a portafilter grind of beans is being re-used or the coffee is very much a dark italian roast. Coffee shouldn't be burnt/taste like vegetable extract! It wasn't nice.
Missing star (Service): Sort out the till if it can't currently itemise items like ice cream, especially if people are buying multiples. You could of sold me more by not making me think about what I'm buying, just itemise it and relay it back to me, then add more of your own suggestion that I'm missing. I budgeted £40 to spend on the day, I spent £29, no problems spending the rest.
Missing star (Service): Whoever brought out the coffee, completly missed the instruction of putting them on the table outside, walked past me (waiting next to table) and was about to give them to someone else. Maybe do the Starbucks thing and puts names on the side? Cost of a sharpie.....
One star (Location): Next to the park is great, especially on a hot day.
I had nothing else on the day, so I can't comment on anything else. I don't recall being a bad mood. I feel this is...
Read moreMy wife and i have been going to sassis since 2016, we have introduced other members of our family to Wayne and his team of staff.
Negatives: toilets, customers don’t know they are unisex as only a female sign on the door, I know you tell customers to use them but it’s still embarrassing for all. Advantage, there is a disabled/baby change facility available, last year they were not kept to I high standard, I know some of the parents are leaving them in a terrible state, but you must stay on top of this. Need to buy some more table and chairs. I realise other customers mistreat them and they’ve got broken, turned up yesterday, not over busy, Nowhere to sit. ended up going into the high street, four disappointed customers.
Positives: Wayne and his team are always welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them, when they have time are a chatty bunch,We have never had any food or drink that was not upto there usual standards, We visit Parkes and cafes all over the Sutton borough, sassis is by far the best place for a cappuccino and the bacon sandwich,on bloomer bread is fantastic. They are passionate about there coffee, I would...
Read moredisappointed with our visit here contrary to other opinions. the staff were lovely and that saved it. coffee was nice. however the panini i ordered was not a panini but more like a demi baguette. didn’t hold shape well and didn’t toast well. flavour was lacking. benches are dirty and tatty. we also played mini golf- it is looking very tired and i was confused why there’s a different price for adults and children (same club, same course etc but £1 difference in price). still it was cheap so i didn’t say anything until we came to play. it’s falling apart, very uncared for and dirty. there’s a screw sticking up out of the floor at the second hole- someone is going to get really hurt there. i mentioned it to the young lad when i handed the clubs back so hopefully it will be addressed. the toilet was foul, no soap, tap didn’t come on fully and no way to dry your hands. staff saved this place- they are friendly and cheerful but it needs...
