So, having visited previously and enjoyed a fantastic meal we returned hoping for the same.
We are sorry to say, we were so disappointed on this visit. The food was not great..
The Blue Post can be found within the Carnaby Street area, a bustling location.
Upon entering the downstairs appears small, however there is a cozy seating area upstairs with another bar.
The toilets are also upstairs to the left of the bar. (These were not as clean as before)
The menu is quite varied and they have pub classics including; Sirloin Steak, Chicken Kiev, Pork Belly, Mac & Cheese along with Fish & Chips.
We ordered a Vintage Cheddar & Bacon Burger and a Chicken Kiev meal:
The beef burger was lumpy, full of gristle, very unpleasant and one of the worst burgers I've had in a long time. The Bacon was crispy (how I like it) but unfortunately there was so little of it, barely a rasher.
The Kiev, well we expected a lovely Chicken breast oozing with garlic butter or the like with a breadcrumb coating.. however, the coated chicken was more like butterfly chicken; not at all what we expected; not juicy nor tender.
The service was good, when we pointed out our concerns regarding the burger we were offered a drink which we declined.
It is such a shame that this did not meet our expectations, we had decided to eat here based on our...

I recently visited The Blue Posts on Carnaby Street and unfortunately had a deeply troubling experience. The owner demonstrated discriminatory behavior by refusing to accept my UK government-issued biometric residence permit (BRP) as valid proof of age. The BRP is an official form of identification recognized across the UK, yet it was arbitrarily dismissed?
This incident not only reflects a lack of awareness about legally accepted forms of ID but also raises concerns about the underlying motivations for such a refusal. It left me feeling unfairly singled out and unwelcome.
For a venue situated in a diverse area like Carnaby Street, where inclusivity should be celebrated, this behavior is both shocking and unacceptable. I urge the management to reflect on this incident and take steps to educate themselves and their staff on proper ID recognition to ensure no patron has to face such unjust treatment...
Read moreWorst customer service. We sat on an empty table, went and ordered our beers and 15 minute later the waiter came to tell us that we have to get up because the table was reserved but they forgot to put the sign. Mistakes happen, but he didn’t try to make any effort to fix his mistake, as either refund the beers or find us another table. My girlfriend had a foot problem and we wouldn’t choose this pub if we wouldn’t find a table. He just told us to get up and got stand in the bar. In the meantime, during these 15 minutes, other 2 tables were empty and got full with walk ins, so we never understood why our table specifically had to be the “lucky” one, since there were people that came after us. Anyhow, zero effort from them to find us another table or whatsoever, they forgot us totally. Clearly they cash out on holidays and don’t care. Regardless the worst customer service, the place is basic. Basic beers and ambience. Lots of other...
