Food: I ordered the âKing of Crab Rollâ sushi, âEgg fried rice (spicy) and the âChili Lamb Fiestaâ. The sushi was my favourite, I absolutely demoralised that, with speed as well. The rice and lamb go well together but i didnât really like them separately, but it was good. I think the lamb may have tasted better with âSteamed Jasmine Riceâ. My friends that also ordered the sushi, agree with me, they absolutely loved it and one was even sad when hers was finishing so she decided to start eating it in smaller bites. I tasted the âSweet & Spicy wingsâ, it wasnât that great but it wasnât horrible to eat, my other friends liked it but one of my other friends agreed with me on the taste. I also tasted the âChili Garlic Calamariâ, that was beautifully made, it came with a sort of sauce and it was absolutely amazing. The âKung Pao Chicken Crazeâ is something that i also tasted, i didnât really like it but my friend did. My friend also ordered the âChicken Crunch Baoâ, she said it was her least favourite of the things she bought, she said there was too much going on with it and rated it 7/10.
Drinks: Majority of us ordered âTropicsâ, 2 came out first, so i tasted it, loved it and changed my initial drink, but when i got mines, i didnât really like it very much but everyone else did, it just tasted too much like lychee to me and i hate lychee. My other drink got the âNon-Alcoholic Painkillerâ, my friendâs comments on it was that it tasted like yogurt, however the one who ordered it, loved it.
Service: The service was absolutely wonderful, very attentive waiters and very patient, we were very indecisive and he made it known to us that he understands because the menu is quite big so we shouldnât feel like we had to rush or anything. That waited absolutely enhanced our experience, very lovely man. The same waiter attended to us on my birthday, where there were 11 of us and the service was still just as good, even though there was more of us, the only problem last time was the fact that I had booked in advance but they had no table for me.
Atmosphere: Atmosphere was quite nice. They had the euros on, on the TVâs. It was good that there was more than 1 TV because it makes it easier for the whole restaurant to see. Initially, i thought there was only one TV so i was going to move seats only for there to be a TV right infront of me and i didnât have to twist my neck to see it.
Critique: There is only 1 smaller single toilet, can be very inconvenient. It is a uni-sex toilet. Not very good as itâs not ideal for those who do not like being in small, confined...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend booked a table for Valentines day. We decided not to book for the Valentines menu, as the a la carte looked a lot more interesting for us. Got there about 5-10 minutes earlier, got sat on the lounge. All good so far. We downloaded the menus, had a look through and got super excited with our choices. Ordered the drinks and after about 10 minutes, ordered the food. Decided on 2 starters, some sushi and a soup each. After about 30 min, we finally got our drinks, which we thought was odd. But never mind, we wanted to enjoy the evening. A good hour and 20 min after arriving, we still hadn't got our starters, so we complained, just to be told that our order, for some reason, never made it to the kitchen. And looking around us this whole time, we noticed a lot of other tables were in the same boat. Drinks not coming out for ages, let alone food. So basically a lot of tables with customers, but nothing on the tables. And I mean NOTHING! After raising the issue, we got told our food would come in 15 min max. And it did. All at once! We barely had room on our table to fit it all. We were literally about 5 minutes from walking out if it hadn't arrived! This whole time, I noticed loads of servers, but 2 girls taking orders and loads of guys bringing trays with drinks and food, but not always actually serving. The girls would do that. What struck me was that no one seemed to notice that our tables were empty. As in get involved, chase up orders and such. I think that the restaurant was too overwhelmed for the evening. I would have wanted to order more drinks and more food, but after starting to eat 1 hour and 45 min from arriving, I decided not to take the risk of waiting another 2 hours for a main. I was seriously considering asking for the service charge to be taken off my bill for the poor service I got. The food was actually nice, the cocktails we got were nice, the shisha was a bit harsh (and I'm a smoker), the pricing was decent. The service really let the place down. Maybe they need to look at employing more staff in the kitchen and maybe 1 or 2 bartenders to make things quicker. Also.... Please do something about the toilet. It looked like a proper public one that is tended every 12 hours. It looked pretty inside, the music was OK and at a decent volume
P.S. I think the owners might want to take it easy on the fake 5 star reviews. It is sooooo...
Read moreLast weekend, I had the immense pleasure of visiting Bonzai in London, and it was an experience I wonât soon forget. This establishment has truly mastered the art of creating a peaceful atmosphere paired with top-notch offerings. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with open arms and a warm smile by the manager, Pushkar. His friendly nature immediately put me at ease, making me feel right at home.
The Hookah at Bonzai is an absolute must-try, and Awais, with his incredible suggestions, made my first time trying shisha in London an unforgettable one. His knowledge and enthusiasm were evident as he guided me through the various flavors, ensuring I had an experience tailored to my preferences.
One of the highlights of my visit was the personalized service at the bar. Being allergic to pineapple but a fan of Malibu, I was a bit apprehensive about ordering a drink. However, the mixologist, Bhupinder, went above and beyond to craft an exquisite cocktail just for me, ensuring it was free of pineapple and bursting with flavor. His attention to detail and creativity truly set the bar high.
And then there was the food. Chef Vishalâs culinary creations were nothing short of spectacular. Every dish was prepared to perfection, with the sushi being the crowning glory. It was like the cherry on top of a cake â fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
Bonzai is, without a doubt, the best place I have hung out in London. The combination of a serene atmosphere, outstanding service, and delectable food and drinks makes it a standout destination. I canât wait to return and experience the magic all over again. If youâre looking for a place to unwind and enjoy some of the best Hookah, cocktails, and cuisine in the city, look no further...
