Brooks & Gao — Restaurant in London

Disappointing, especially for the price. I ordered the scrambled eggs with grilled chorizo and sourdough bread. The eggs could have been seasoned a bit more, there was too much chorizo for the amount of eggs (though the chorizo was very tasty) and the sourdough toast crust was too hard and the bread itself far too insubstantial. At least my food was mould free, my friend was not so lucky with her toast... In terms of surroundings, I understand it's a small, cool place so this feels like a harsh criticism but there's next to no space for buggies. If you've more than one pram to fit in, this is not the place for you. Next time I want similar I think I'll go to...

Terrible that you charge 50p extra for somebody to use plant milk instead of cow milk. Awful for people who are unable to drink dairy, and for people who want to be more environmentally friendly and/or ethical since dairy milk is far worse for the environment than oat milk and also involves animal exploitation and slaughter. I know oat milk costs you more, but not 50p more per little splash. Outrageous! Also they don’t even warn you when you order of this extortionate extra charge. Will never return. Coffee was...
